Sorry I'm so late, but today is the first day- so comment with your goals for the month! You can add your goal for the week as well, but I'll only keep track of your monthly goal. I'll post again next Sunday and you can add your progress!
My goal for this month is to run 75 miles. I'm hoping to get more next month when the weather starts warming up. This week I want to start out with 4 runs totaling 15 miles.
I'd like to keep up with running at least every other day. Typically on my off days I snowshoe or hike, but I've been working more often, so who knows.
I did 3 miles just as the snow was starting this morning. I felt like such a badass.
My goal is very modest- 35 miles for the month. My first 5k in 5 years is on March 14. I just want to be under 35 minutes; would be super excited to be under 34. i did most of the training on a treadmill and am having a little trouble getting used to regulating my pace in the first mile when I'm running outside so I don't burn out before the end.
I've got a 10k slated for April 10th, so I'll need to get training soon. The conditions are still quite wintery though.... I'm not ready to run yet this year.
My goal is to get up to 6 miles without too much effort by the end of the month. I'm running a 10 miler at the beginning of May, so I want to be comfortable at 5-6 in a few weeks.
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”

This is the hardest part for me, too. I always wind up walking some of the last few miles because I started out way too fast. Do you use run keeper? It's helped me with pacing since it gives you updates as you're going.

I do, and it has been helpful-- I really should look at it more at the start of the run to help me get a feel for my pace. I'm just hoping the weather is good enough the 2 weeks for me to get some good outdoor running time in. I am so tired of the snow!
I want to get back to my running. I've been stuck on week 4 of C25K for awhile and have taken a break because I've been crazy busy with work. walterismydog and I are supposed to run a 5K in April, so I need to get in gear!
So my goal for the month is to start back up and do week 4 one more time, then move on to weeks 5-8. If I do that, I should hit week 9 and get to the 5K point just in time for the actual race.
I'd love to aim for 40, but the outdoor weather isn't cooperative. I am quite possibly the most uncoordinated person ever, and can fall while walking in perfect conditions. Running on ice and snow seems like a bad idea.
Also, my first 5K for the year isn't until the end of April, so I'll just see what the weather does. Did that sound noncommittal enough?
Im aiming for 60 total and to sub 3 hours at my half on the 29th. My current PR is 3:02. (Ive only ever done hilly ones in san francisco...I should do a flat one and see how much better that is).
I'm going to start C25K again as well. I always start anew once the clocks are close to turning back, so I'll do it this month. So, my goal is to do the programme 3x a week and to try to progress to the end of week 4 by the end of the month.
