Week of skiing + race yesterday = walking funny today
I'm at work early. Boss pulled a really low move while I was out and I have all kinds of Trainwreck to deal with today. Meeting with my surgeon after work and hoping to work out at some point. We shall see. I am bracing for a lot of work hours this week.

I've been busy today - catching up on some regular work stuff now for a few hours before meeting back up with my group to do a property tour and go over to the park.
We have a family shoot coming up next week end so I have been working on figuring out if we will do props or not.
This weekend we went to the EMP for the Star Wars Exhibit! (FYI, for anyone planning to go, it's an additional $8 on top of general admission) It was fantastic. Making the most of the membership I bought H. We are considering getting a membership for Pacific Science Center too, since they are tax deductible and we will actually use it if we have it.
For the last few weeks, I've been trying to eat better and I am definitely starting to notice that I feel horribly sluggish when I eat something that isn't so great. This is what I get for not going to the store this weekend.
Happy Monday! I've been up since 5:45 for a 6-9am conference call.. home stretch. Luckily it's super interesting stuff. when it ends, I'm driving into work for meetings the rest of the day. we head to Vegas Friday afternoon so this week will go slowly I'm sure
That's good though Minion, when it was wedding time I was able to do the healthy eating, working out and staying motivated. Nowadays... I am sooo lazy. But today I am joining the gym again.
I think I have to swim to do my cardio (too many foot/ankle injuries) and it will be nice to lift weights again. Plus I have a workout buddy so fingers crossed!
Had a last minute sale this past month so there is some extra money coming in next month
Saturday H irritated me and in a hangry rage I threw my purse and broke my phone, but on the plus side I am getting a new phone.
Yesterday we went hiking/target practicing in Duvall which was fun and the dog got to play.
I need a weekend from my weekend. I was super busy all day Saturday. My party was a lot of fun, but I sure was paying for it on Sunday morning There was so much food, and I had to bully most of my guests into taking leftovers home.

I got 9 hours of sleep last night and still feel groggy. But the race yesterday was great and the early hour was worth it! Our group mostly stayed together, until about the last .5 mile. E ran it in 35:45, and I stayed with P and we did 37:30. The kids were basically sprinting through the tunnel, jumping up on the curb and back down, and at the end of it P was pretty tired so we walked a bit. I'm so proud of the kids though for doing it, and I think they loved it. Especially at the end, sitting in the sunshine, eating chocolate and taking in the post-race atmosphere.
Today is work (which will be busy because a coworker is leaving so we need to coordinate a TON), gym, then meeting a potential dog sitter at our house. My cousin is in town for business so he may come by late and stay the night but I haven't heard for sure. We REALLY need to go grocery shopping but not sure we'll fit it in.
I finished in 41 minutes. I know I could have been under 40 minutes if I didn't have to deal with my backpack. I slowed down for a couple of minutes trying to fix my backpack so it wasn't smacking me in the butt.
I ended yesterday with 18k+ steps! We took the dogs for a walk through Des Moines Marina and the trail back there.
I also got my hair cut yesterday. 6+ inches hacked off! And I'm back to blonde I'm trying to take a good picture.

Everyone's keyboards at my work are so loud. click, click, click, click (not that me typing "click" over and over again helps)
Tman has today, tomorrow, and Wednesday at school before we go to Disneyland on Thursday. His focus is hit or miss anyway. I'm hoping he will surprise me with how well he does these next few days.
I'm hoping my own focus will surprise me, too. We love Disneyland.
I am on the countdown to when I think I can safely leave the house wit the kids and actually go into a store. Having H around this weekend made house arrest easier and I actually got to go to the library on my own yesterday. woohoo! lol I am confident J is better and I can take her out. M on the other hand I think has a couple more days so maybe by Thursday I will feel comfortable with her going out. Just in time for H's bday this weekend.
So I think today I might attempt to clean some kitchen cabinet faces onto of my usual upkeep things. Such an exciting time in our house
PT today which is good because my hip is hurrrting. I'll have to confess I didn't do as many of my exercises as I should have but one of them caused me pain so I figured that was a sign to not do it. I somehow managed to forget from Saturday when I woke up until today what a shtshow I was going to walk in to at work but the crisis has been managed and hopefully everything else will just continue at not great, which I can handle. Poor Ivan is getting another outbreak of his eye thing - I noticed the hairless spot on his head was looking swollen and the corner of his eye is red Poor baby. Stupid kitty herpes virus!

Wait, is membership to the EMP tax deductible, too??

We had a great weekend. Shabbat dinner with veteran members of our temple on Friday, I worked the WiSE conference on Saturday, and then on Sunday we did a Costco / Target / PetSmart / Safeway run and had dinner with my coworker and her husband. It was a very full, productive weekend, but felt much more relaxing than weekends we've had in the past couple of months. Weird how that works, huh?

Yes!!!!!! We signed up last Nov/Dec so we could see the GoT exhibit, and got a thing in the mail around the 1st of the year for our taxes.

James poo-pooed the idea. We shouldn't spend the extra and that's true. I was going to think about it one more time this morning, but I couldn't find my discount code and without it, it is DEFINIETLY too much.
