Mine was awful. I pretty much was sick from 8 weeks to 20 weeks. I got samples of Diclegis and took those for about 3 weeks, then switched to the OTC Unisom and B6. It did help a lot, but even with it, I still threw up at least once a day and sometimes multiple times a day. MOrnings and evenings seemed to be the worst for me. I had a few days where I threw up non-stop all day. I did ask my Dr. for other options and she prescribed Zophran. I never ended up taking it because I stupidly talked to my sister about it and she was very against it (kept sending me papers about how it isn't safe for pregnancy). She guilted me into not taking it, but I sometimes wished I had. The non-stop nausea/vomiting got me pretty depressed by week 20. Luckily shortly after that it started to get better. Although I think the misery I went through in the beginning has really affected my feelings regarding this pregnancy in general, which is sad.
Talk to you doctor and see what they say! I'd definitely recommend starting with the Diclegis or Unisom. It really does help. If you need something stronger though, go for it too. The goal is to survive!
I tried at the at home unison b6 combo and it did nothing except make me tired.
Turned to zofran at 8ish weeks. I couldn't function without it. I was still puking and feeling like death on it (3 a day) but it was at least a bit more manageable.
Only side effect was serious constipation that I combatted with 9 prunes a day, tons of water and over the counter anti-constipation meds.
I haven't been taking anything but I plan on asking my OB about getting something on Monday specifically for my flights/travel. That is when I really really struggle and go downhill.
I started Diclegis over the weekend, since the last 2 weeks I have had 18 hours a day of nausea and was throwing up 1x-2x per day. I haven't thrown up since Friday, so this stuff is really a lifesaver for me. Since it is FDA approved as class A in pregnancy, I felt much better about taking it than Zofran.
The only side effect is that I am tired all day.
I tried Unisom+B6 before, and I only felt better for about 1/2 hour when I would first wake up.
My OB gave me zofran. My MS isn't usually bad, but once I throw up, I am throwing up for the rest of the day (like 8-10 times). It works, but I don't want to take it until after I get sick. I won't take it every day.

Wait a few more days - the overwhelming tiredness should get a little better.

Fantastic! On Saturday night, I slept for almost 12 hours... And then took a 2 hour nap on Sunday afternoon. I never nap, so it just felt very strange for me.
My doctor recommended to wait until I was puking 2-3 times a day vs once. She was fine with it if I really wanted it but I'm electing to go with the recommendation unless I get worse
I'm so glad everything went well at your appointment today! Mine is on Friday and I'm really excited!
My doctor had me take half a unisom nightly for insomnia. Once I started doing that nightly my nausea almost disappeared. I stopped taking it and puked a bunch until I took my zofran. Now I take it again.
