I'm 30 mins past my appointment time and still in the waiting room. I'm so annoyed today. Especially since she barely ever spends more than 5 mins with me. So I'm wasting 2 hours of my day with driving every 2 weeks so they can weigh me.
It's hard to tell as I have only had two appointments at their office. I was called back on time for my first appointment, but the doctor was running about 15 minutes behind at my last appointment. Once I was in a room she came in quickly (had just gotten undressed when she knocked on the door). I have another appointment tomorrow, so we'll see if they are on time.
Nope. 2 of the last 5 times, she's been delivering babies, so the office scrambled to find someone to fill in, so both of those appointments were really late. One of those times was my m/c, so it was even more awkward to hear it from a complete stranger.
Oddly, they were never on time before I was pregnant (I'd be waiting FOREVER) and now they are super on time, which is very nice since I go so frequently!
It varies. The first time I went to this practice I think I waited for 45 minutes before getting called back. Lately it hasn't been bad, although last week I waited about 30 minutes, and then another 10 in the room.
I have an appointment next week and I took my whole morning off for it. I am thinking about switching hospitals, so I will have to switch my ob practice. I wonder if the new one will be better.
Almost never. But I trust her so much and had a great experience with her for the pregnancy and birth, so she's worth the wait for me. Fortunately I work part time so I can go on my day off.
Mine generally runs about 10ish minutes behind which I don't find too bad. I try and get appts for first thing in the AM or the last appt so I am not rushing to get back to the office. My practice is at NWH so close by to work which is convenient. Is your office further out from work and closer to home?
I think if you like the practice overall it would be worth the wait but if you are frustrated with the practice in general it might be worth it to see what some other options might be. I don't think that 30 minute wait is out all out of the norm though unfortunately.

For the most part they are. I'm usually back with the nurse for pee/weight/BP/etc. within 5 minutes of appointment time, then the doc pops in about 15 minutes later.

I'm going to a practice at NW as well (maybe the same one!). They are usually pretty good, today was frustrating though. Took 45 mins before I saw anyone, which is annoying when I need to get to work. I'm also having a rough time lately though, so I think I'm grumpier than usual.
Thus far, my midwives seem to be 10-15 minutes behind. But based on the fact that I'm not rushed, and still get the full time allotted (and sometimes more) I give no shits.
My OB always runs on time. My Perinatologist's office is usually very far behind (over an hour), or at least that is the case when I have afternoon appointments. If I get there at 8 or 8:30, they are usually on time.
almost never. usually 30-45 min behind. I expect this and bring things to read (usually GBCN on my phone, ha). I do try for early morning appointments.

Random but I'm also delivering at NWH. Let me know if you either have any questions!
Sometimes....but usually not. There are 5 different doctors at my office and I see all of them. It also depends on if my appointment is in the late afternoon...then they are never on time.

Nope! They bring me back on time and I get weighed and pee in a cup, then I sit in the room for a half hour or so. The last time, there was really nothing going on so I spoke with the doctor for about 2 minutes. If I hadn't asked a question, she would have been gone in under 1. It's annoying, and I always feel bad because the walls are so thin I can hear everyone's conversations in the rooms around me.

Ditto this.
My midwives are in the city where I live, but work is 20 minutes away. Our office is open at 8 so even getting the earliest appointment at 9 am means I have to take at least 2.5 hours off of work provided that a) my midwife is on time and b) my appointment doesn't run over.

Mine usually is. Can vary up to 15 minutes depending on time of day. Mornings are usually better than afternoons. And right around 1:30 is the best because they do lunch from 12-1:30 so there's no one in front of my holding it up.
Mine did sometimes but for the most part was late. Some of our appointments were as much as 90 minutes behind. But, I understand why this happens...my OB is seriously hands down the BEST doctor I've always had. She takes her time with each patient, never rushing them through questions, etc. Also, I have been "that" patient where my OB had to spend a LOT of extra time with me and not the 20 minute window the appointment was booked for (with my losses). She never once rushed and was super compassionate and took as much time as I/we needed (first time I was with my mom and second time it was DH and I). OB's always have things that come up unexpectedly...they get stuck at the hospital before coming to clinic, women lose babies, cancer, and all kinds of other scenarios...it's hard to predict how any given day will go. I will say that having first morning appointments led to the least chance of having to wait and the closer to lunch time (later in the day) the more we had to wait.
If you like your OB I would just be patient and stick it out. It sucks but when it's "your turn" and you need his/her help you'll be thankful you have an awesome and understanding doctor.
