They all look like so much food! I agree w/Amsterdam - that's crazy, however, I still don't understand the whole Nutella on toast for breakfast here either.

That is a very large spread for Turkey, like you having guests or something.
No. NO. Hagelslag are way more than sprinkles. It is MANNA FROM THE GODS. They taste nothing like the awful, tasteless chocolate sprinkles we grew up with here. They make everything, EVERYTHING better. (<-----not an exaggeration) And same goes for Vlokken (the thin chocolate shavings). Right now we've got a box of "Vlokfeest," a combination of dark+white chocolate shavings, that needs eating. And, trust me, I'll see to it.
But, yeah...no, not a healthy breakfast in and of itself. I'm with you there.
And Vruchtenhagel are nasty no matter what, all the damn time -- gross.
Should be noted, as with most things food, Belgian hagelslag is better than Dutch. Because CHOCOLATE.
We had coffee milk as kids. Mom was 100% Finnish-American. Finns have coffee in their veins.
she also gave us vinegar to drink when we had hiccups. Works 100% of the time and we all ended up sneaking sips out of the cupboard we liked it so much.

My sister and I also grew up drinking cafe con leche, for us basically hot milk with sugar and instant coffee. I remember my parents telling us not to mention at school that we drank coffee.

Are you originally from RI? SIL says coffee milk is an RI thing but maybe it's also an MA thing too.
I won't lie, I do love hearty American breakfasts.
My grandma (born and raised in New Jersey) started giving us coffee milk whenever we stayed at her house, when we were about 7 and 4. My parents were thrilled...
I am Dutch, and my grandfather was born in the Netherlands. We used to visit the netherlands in the summer when I was a kid, and my FAVORITE thing about going was that they would serve me bread with butter and chocolate sprinkles for breakfast.

It's the official state drink of RI. I posted a picture in the coffee for toddlers thread, too.
