My poor, 14-year-old Hermann Miller is on it's way out. By the end of my 8-hour workday, my tailbone is starting to hurt, so it's time for a new chair.
Things I require: *tilt adjust with tilt lock *height adjust *armrest adjust *seat depth or seat angle adjust (one or the other ... unless the chair is designed perfectly for my weirdly short legs)
Things I would like: *fabric construction (it gets hot here in the summer and leather or "leather" makes me sweaty). *back height adjust *solid color or "pretty" upholstery (I haaaaaaate the weird casino carpet upholstery they put on some office chairs) *made in USA (if possible)
Price is no object. Obviously, I'm not looking for a beautifully designed chair. I'm looking for a functional, comfortable, barca-lounger-like office workhorse chair.
I get to test all kinds of commercial furniture now. So, here are some chairs I'll throw out there. Honestly, I can't remember if they meet all of your needs, but they've all been designed with various users in mind--so, they should be pretty close. If I remember more, I'll post them (I'm meeting with more reps this week and next.). Also, is there a reason, since price is no object, why you don't want to stick with Herman Miller?

munkii - I don't love the Aeron or Embody chairs and I just feel like another Ergon is not the right answer. It has never fit me perfectly and I want a more feature-rich chair.
I was all excited to see this as I just flipped the chair over at work to see who made it. I'm trying to find a chair for home for sewing. This one is from sitonit dot net but trying to find something under $300. I need to goldilocks it up at Staples or something. IKEA had one I kind of like.

Well, since the spammer resurrected the thread, I figured I should update on what I ended up with:
It's a chair made by a company called Alera. It adjusts in every possible direction, like the HM Aeron, but I swear it's more comfortable than any HM chair I've ever sat in. Also, it was under $200. I stopped in at my local office supply store (think local, not Office Depot or whatever) and told them what I wanted and the lady was like, "THIS ONE. This is the one you need. Once you sit in it, there's no going back."
I have the newer model of the HM chair similar to what you posted and I love it. It came with the space we're renting and I'm going to miss it when we have to leave.
