I saw 44 the first time, but then went back (before reading the answer...the teacher in me always double checks) and realized the first time my brain was assuming that the sections were all the same size.
36. The dress was white and gold (well, light blue and something fugly resembling gold) for me on most websites. (And when they showed a succession of pictures, I saw the white one, light blue and the darker blue).
The explanation is pretty interesting though. Tetrachromatism is a real thing and it's almost only women who have it.
Kudos to this author who managed to get a zillion hits on her post!
Is it true that 25% of the population sees colors the same way dogs do?! That seems really high!
No, it's not true. It's called dichromatism, not bichromatism, and it's just a type of color blindness. I think the total percentage of men with color blindness is only like 5%? And for women, it's much much smaller.
39, but what I found most surprising was that people who see this are "probably irritated by the colour yellow and have no clothes in that colour" - which is true, at least for me. I have never liked yellow.
I wore yellow in my senior pic for the yearbook. I like yellow and can pull it off My cell is even yellow (makes it super easy to find in my purse!)
The only 'yellow' that looks horrid on me is blonde hair.
I read this and was like, "you're posting this from jail? And they let you paint your cell yellow?"
And then I got to the next sentence and realized I'm an idiot.
I actually had to read it several times to figure out that she wasn't posting from jail, even with the thing about the purse. I was going, "You painted your jail cell yellow to make finding your purse easier?" I need more coffee.
