It may very well be that she released it knowing that many of her would-be opponents have similar skeletons. It is not hard to imagine that Scott Walker is emailing the Koch Brothers about public policy issues from a gmail account. And what kind of shady shit do you think is tied to Jeb Bush's personal email from the Florida recount? She may be sitting on this information to release at a later date when all her opponents have gone on the record about how wrong it is.
I don't want to see her damned email. I want to know why she didn't have a government email, the security measures that protect the email client she is using, and whether she's been archiving shit or just relying on other email addresses to do it.
This is all very interesting. The story broke March 2 and the EMILY's List Gala was 2nd and 3rd. Dunno what else she was doing the 4th (taking it all in?) but then chooses to respond first via Twitter at 10:30pm that night. Huh.

A data dump is the minimum that she needs to do.
But I'm still confused. Is she saying she wants to release all the emails her staff gave to the State? Or is she simply going to release ALL her emails that are still on her private server? Which is not all the emails she gave to the State.
She needs stronger response than 140 characters.
She needs to answer questions:
- why the private email and server? - who also has a private email? - why did some high level staff have the private email? - what standard did staff use to turn over emails to the state? - why were some reporters denied FOIA? - what about the 2009 reg that allows private emails but emails must be preserved according to agency record keeping protocol?
I've read most of this thread but might have missed it. I know there was some question over whether there was classified info on this e-mail.
According to the HRC reps, there were no classified e-mails through this method. She received classified info through her aides via other channels.
State Department spokesman Harf told reporters Wednesday that she could not answer “when it was set up, and all that.” She referred questions about the system’s security to Clinton’s personal office.
Harf said there was no indication that Clinton had used the account for classified information, but she acknowledged that she was relying on information conveyed by Clinton and her aides.

Basically I feel like this will never be answered - HRC and aides say, "Nope, no classified email through this." State Department says, "We don't believe so, but we didn't request the emails to archive until Fall 2014."
Now the AP is saying, we requested this info from March 2010 through 2012 (emails, calendars, schedules, people who rode with HRC on SoS business, etc.) and didn't get it. We are going to sue.
This looks very bad on the State Department that they asked for all this stuff from the former SOS's (or at least emails) in 2014 after all the FOIA requests. So at the time of the requests, it seems like they didn't have much or didn't look hard enough to find it and since they KNEW that personal emails were often used, and were pointed to that, they should have asked to archive that stuff in 2010 or 2012, not 3 years later.
