Hi Ladies, I am traveling for work in 3 weeks and need to book a hotel today. My options are Caesars, Paris, Planet Hollywood and the Palms hotel. I am going to be working most of the time but will be heading out to the casino floor when I have some spare time.
Anyone have anything good or bad to say about them? I have stayed at Caesars a few times and thought while it was good it wasn't amazing so I am thinking of trying another hotel unless this is the best on the list.
I'll preface this with the fact that I haven't stayed at any of them, but in order of preference: Caesar's (I assume it's pretty good because it's always been too expensive for us when we've gone, and we stayed at the Encore the last couple of times) Paris Planet Hollywood Palms - Distant last. I've stayed at the Rio across the street and being so far off the Strip is annoying.
Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime. Mark Twain
I've never stayed at any of them but I would not stay at the palms because of the location either. I would probably stay at Caesars or Paris. I like being central to the strip.
I would probably choose Paris just because of it's central location. Caesars is set pretty far back plus it's enormous so it could be a long walk just from your room to the strip. The flipside to that is that they have a crazy amount of things on property so if you don't plan to do much on the strip, Ceasers could be a good choice since it'll give you lots of options right there.
I wouldn't stay at the Palms only because of location.
I have stayed at Planet Hollywood and the rooms were nice (each is themed after a movie or TV - we were in the Flash Gordon room), good central location, the casino was good, and I am in love with Earl of Sandwich for lunch.

I've stayed at both Palms and Planet Hollywood. I agree with PP's that Palms is nice, because it has a lot of nightlife, but good restaurants are not available. If you're going to check out other parts of Vegas, always plan for $20 for cab fare with tip.
I liked Planet Hollywood a lot, because it also have decent food and shopping/entertainment selections by itself.
I've never been to Caesar's and Paris, but both good choices, IMO. Since you've stayed at Caesar's before, I would shake it up a bit and stay at Paris. They have good entertainment and restaurant choices. The building has definitely shown age, though. So personally that would be my fourth choice.
