My mom. She could actually pass for a close relative ofHelen Mirren, they look a lot alike. my mom has great style, a rockin' social life, she is very active and she is beautiful. She is active at my DD's school. DD's kindy teacher a few years ago called my mom a "teaching magician" because she shows up with a suitcase and pulls one fun project after another out of it. She has also been referred to as Mary Poppins, because when she arrives, the magic starts. This is the kind of mom she was to me and the kind of grandma she is now. my mom is fun and kind and always knows just the right thing to say. She is a truly beautiful person and she just keeps getting better with age.
She spent her 73rd birthday last month in Africa on a photo safari. She camped in a tent (although it was an"out of Afrrica" kind of tent with a wrought iron bed and table linens) and roughed it in the bush for 15 days. The next youngest people There were in their 50's. I would bet my mom set the pace and everyone had to keep up with her. but she is far too gracious to say something like that out loud so that's just my guess, knowing her.
My Mom is 65 and gorgeous- I hope I look half that good at her age. As for celebrities there are a lot of good choices here- Meryl Streep, Diane Lane, Blythe Danner, Julianne Moore are (naturally) stunning. As for the guys, Denzel Washington and Kevin Costner still make me swoon.
