Oh my god, T. I cannot believe this. I am so, so, sorry about this. I am speechless about how this has all unfolded. I am praying so hard you can get out immediately. Maybe legal aid office in your area can give you tips about breaking the lease? If there is ANYTHING we can do, research, etc, let me know!

This is all so crazy. I'm glad you have ys least one neighbor who seems okay, but I would definitely try to get out of the lease, especially if they don't evict the heroin addict ASAP. How steep is the penalty of they won't voluntarily let you out?
