Has anyone run the Flying Pig half in Cincinnati?

It's my first half since last year's Nashville Country Music and I'm excited to run it with a college friend.

I hear it's highly rated but very hilly. I am thinking I will set my time goals conservatively since I've just been regularly running since January.

I have not run it, but I am running it this year! I also heard it was hilly. My aunt, who lives in Cincy, seems like she knows the course well. I am running it with my sister as her first half, so I have no time goals.

I have a couple friends who do this every year. What that means to me is that yes, it's hilly... but it must not be crazy awful if they keep going back. Although maybe they go back for the bling...

No, but I'm doing the marathon relay this year. I've also heard it is super hilly so I have no time goals for my leg.

Are you really?  We will have to try to meet up at the finish.  I'm actually flying into Indy for the race and driving down with my SIL.

Yep, we're all registered. The plan is to drive down late on Saturday, I'm game for a finish line meet up.

I usually do the full, but I did the half when I was pregnant and it was a lot of fun. You still get the really big hill in the first half of the course, but it's really all downhill for the half course after that.

Both routes are really well supported, the expo is amazing, and it's definitely the most well-organized event I've ever participated in.

Yes! It was my first half. I loved it, hills and all.
