We had a birthday miracle last night!! (Yesterday was my birthday.) I transitioned DD to the crib and she STTN, feed her once at 5am, and slept for another 4 hrs for DH.
In the past she always woke up the second we put her in the crib.
Several inches of snow so far with more to come into the evening. I went in to work at 7am to get some work done, and ended up covering someone else's desk to handle stuff that needed to go out today. I left by 11 and the damn office is still open. They are so stupid.
C threw a tantrum demanding milk. I finally got him to agree to water. He chugged it and it came immediately back up. While I was standing there with one boob out nursing the screaming baby. Then he threw another tantrum because I took his water away.
He is currently daintily and slowly licking a Popsicle. I hope it stays down. I don't want him to get dehydrated.

popsicles and gatorade always seem to stay down with my kids.
My tea collection haul from Hautelook I ordered yesterday shipped. The lorac haul from last week still hasn't. This is why I can't do discount sites like this. I want my eyeshadow and lipgloss named Ben!!!
One of my coworkers was clipping her nails next to me on lunch. Wtf. I hate when people do that, it is so gross. Do you not have 3 minutes to do that at home?

I hope so. He won't touch juice or anything but milk or water, weird child. I'm glad I had a Popsicle stash hidden in the back of the freezer.
I cannot tell you how much I HATE this kind of shit on FB:
And all the "if I talked to my parents the way kids these days would, I wouldn't be here." WTF.
Well this is ridiculous. Actually I don't even get it. So whipping with the belt and a fly swatter, but what is the hanger and the flip flop for? Like mommy dearest no more wire hangers?
Why would anyone be proud of the fact they were hit as a child?
Also can we talk about the "kids are gross" thread on ML? Not to be all "just you wait until you're a mom" but um, yeah.
As in you have or have not eaten poop?
Lol no but trust that if your kid so much as sneezes wrong daycare will call your ass in five seconds so throwing out the lazy terrible mom card is really premature.
It is a snow day and DS is home while DH and I try to work. He is currently putting ketchup on his foot and letting the dog lick it off. I'm letting it happen so I can get some work done.

I can't describe how much I love our local kid's consignment shop. I get a high off of dropping off boxes of DD's old clothing and baby gear. Its a problem. LOL

I haven't read all 8 pages, why did the OP unsub?
Someone was all "was she healthy enough for daycare?" and then someone else was like "well OP needed to get a pedicure, duh" because OP posted she was getting one done today before a wedding she was in this weekend.

My curiosity got to me and I just read it. Glad to see the other people on ML are finally sick of that person's comments too :-# I hope the OP comes back. She was always very nice.

This weather is driving me INSANE!!! I just want to hang out, be a bum and eat junk food. Working while A is home with us is so frustrating. Luckily, my boss understands and knows I can only get accomplished what I can in this situation.
I'll still need to get online to work tonight, and I'm glad that A is amusing herself so far in the crib after her nap. It's allowing me to finish this post (and some work, I guess...)
I can't remember who said it (a while ago) but it does seem like 10 months was the 'key' to DD sleeping through the night…what a difference it makes too. It is just lovely.
I just finished my chai latte and I am sad.
It was @vicmo and I've been holding on to that thought for dear life for months. Alas, it does not hold true for my special snowflake baby.
We hired someone to clean today in anticipation of the birthday party this weekend. My normally calmer and braver child flipped the fuck out. Like hysterical someone is hurting me crying whenever the woman tried to smile at her or talk to me. Squeaky basically tried to climb inside my shirt while shrieking. What the heck was that.

Can someone come over and teach my baby how to nap? And then talk about Skylanders with my 6yo for 4 hours straight? The 3yo only requires the occasional granola bar.
The assistant at my GPs office took down my weight wrong last week (wrote down 106kg instead of 100.6kg) and then my blood pressure was high because I was caught in traffic and late for my appt after a shit day of work.
Well of course my doc is worried and wanted me to come in today, about a week later. Today we realized the weight error, I only gained a pound this week and my blood pressure is back to perfect. Awesome. Wish I hadn't been worried for the past week. Also, apparently if I actually try to watch what I eat, I only gain a pound. Good to know.

Ugh, I thought we were in the clear but DD's had 3 nasty diapers today. We already had the discussion about staying home from daycare tomorrow, now her DCP called and she's got it too. And H shouted and bolted to the bathroom a while ago He was supposed to stay tomorrow if we're open, since I was out Monday with a migraine, yesterday with DD and we were home today for snow. Fuck.
A FB friend just posted that their 22 month old "finally" weighs enough to FF in her car seat. Someone commented that they thought kids had to RF until 2 now, and she responded:
"it is not yet law for being 2...just suggested. But B is my tallest kid, her knees are by her head in her car seat when she us rear facing."
I am holding my tongue. I am the only person I know who RFs until 2, and if I say something I am certain all it will result in is a collective eye roll in my direction.

I know someone who flipped their 15 month old because he was "too tall". I actually still don't know if I should say something. I'm surprised their pediatrician didn't give them the updated advice.
