My blood pressure always tends to be on the low side. This morning I got startled awake and then decided to get up to go to the bathroom. About halfway there I remember feeling dizzy, then I remember being in the floor of my closet (it is a walk through to the master bath) and my back and the back of my head were in ridiculous pain. I must have passed out and then hit them on the door or the tile floor. My shoulder blade is all messed up now and I have a huge lump on the back of my head. I don't have any concussion symptoms, so I'm not super worried, but I'm bummed out that I had just gotten into a good running and yoga groove and now I feel all beat up.
I am so sorry to hear that! I would definitely mention this to your doctor at your next checkup or make a special appointment if you experience any more symptoms. I hope you are okay. What a tough way to start the day.
Holy crap, that is scary! Glad you're ok now. Definitely let your doc know about this. I had a couple of passing out spills senior year in high school. Never did figure out why but they were scary.
@thom2202, I will definitely mention it next time. And for sure I will go back sooner if it happens again. It happened to me a few times as a kid/teenager, but not in a really long time and fortunately always on carpet before.
OMG! I'm glad you're OK. Was your H home when it happened? That's really scary. You might want to get checked out.
Yeah, he was here, but he was in another room on a call for work. He had no idea until I told him when he got off the phone. I think the part that freaks me out the most is if he hadn't been here and if I had gotten seriously injured.
Yikes! I've fainted a couple of times and it's very scary - particularly when you kind of lose the ability to attract attention for help in any way (right before falling or after). At this point, I kind of know the feeling (I also have really low blood pressure) and if I can sit down and get some sugar in my body it's okay. But stay well, and be careful with yourself !

I'm really glad your H was home! I don't mean to sound like a crazy worrier, but it's just scary. Hopefully it is only related to BP and not anything else more serious. Good job on the running and yoga lately. I hope you can continue and that your shoulder isn't sore for long.
How are your feet? Are you keeping the blisters at bay since the marathon?
@thom2202 - No more blusters. I seem to be fine with shorter runs. I haven't gone more than 5 miles since the race, but during training I only ran into blister issues with runs longer than two-ish hours.
EEK! That is scary! I fainted after a half a couple of years ago, but I was outside on the grass, and my husband was there and was able to catch me/ease me down, haha. I am so sorry you had to deal with that and that you are all sore now.
