I am thinking *maybe* this was the one I saw in store. Looked better on the hanger than on her. Probably not a good sign. I just want a good high low tee to wear with leggings and sandals this spring.
Right? Blah blah blah "individual style" blah blah blah "what works for you."
I need LINKS. To ITEMS.
lol
This is what I'm looking for.
Like, here is a link to a very cute handbag that is not $2000 but also not Coach. Alright, I'm going to have to go lurk on S&B for a while...
Mine came from Target so I am no help. I get compliments all the time on it and it is large enough I could probably cram my 6 year old in it. Worth $29.99.

This one isn't true high-low, it's like an inch or 2 longer in the back, but I'm planning to buy it in a tall and wear it this spring.
I keep coming back into this thread waiting on someone to tell me what I need to buy, lol.

Haha I am doing the same. I am terrible at finding things that work for me. My favorite items are yoga pants, flip flips and a hoodie. I have no idea what works for my shape, especially after baby. I was all set to buy a kate spade purse, but now everyone I see has one so I don't want that. I would love to know what is up and coming so I can buy that and keep it for years haha.

There are tons of options from $20-$2000. Do you want an every day bag? One that will fit diapers, kid stuff? A laptop? Is it for work? Do you like to wear it over your shoulder or crossbody?
I don't need a diaper bag, I have a Storksak that I love. But...I do like some size, I want to be able to fit my large clutch wallet in there, and a small makeup bag, plus have room to hide a diet Coke and a snack when we go to the movies
I think I prefer a shoulder bag. This is the Kate Spade I'm carrying right now, and I think I want something less black, less boring.
I've also been thinking about a smaller crossbody (or similarly hands-free) for things like farmers market and festivals this summer.
I have a shitton of black bags, I think I need something lighter, like a camel color maybe?
I bought red Capri pants with a high waist - is that in? I just put my shirt over the high waist because I am not one to have this high waist thing. But it made me curious.
I wear jeans and a casual sweater every day. I need somebody to find me a cute postpartum wardrobe that does not include dressy clothes because I'll never wear them, doesn't cost a billion dollars, and doesn't make me look old OR make people mistake me for my college students.
(Seriously, I think I'm trying a capsule wardrobe after the baby is born, and I am pretty okay with starting from scratch, so if anybody wants to link me to some clothes and accessories, I'd love you forever.)
I really want a summer sandal to run around in thats not a flip flop but still comfortable and stylish...thats what I need. I'm still hanging on to baby weight to be buying clothes
I want 2008 back, when Mad Men-esque styles were in. I am short, curvy, and my coloring is best suited for jewel tones. What's "in" right now does not work for me at all.
Of course, I will just continue to wear what I want that I know flatters me and makes me feel good. It's just becoming harder and harder to find those things.
People looking for bags (@this, halfpint... anyone else, I kind of skimmed): I bought this one recently and love it. Quinn by Hobo. It's $350, but you can get it on eBags for 15-20% off, depending on the discount code, or at least 10% back on ebates. I bought black because I needed a new black bag, but it comes in fun colors as well. Leather's super soft, it slouches nicely when worn, lots of nice pockets, and I get compliments all the time.

I always love Hobo, I should see if I can find this in person.

Ran to a meeting earlier. Meant to add this pic of it on a person:
Ditto. I'm especially impressed that her stuff doesn't cost a million bucks because she looks like it does!
I have no energy for this shit anymore. Closet full of nice shit and I wear LLL every effing day. I need an intervention @natariru
First off, you & @pnkybrwstr are crazy. You both always look great!
This weather definitely doesn't help with wanting to wear something that isn't stretchy pants. Set me free in your closet and we can mix up some outfits for you
I think what helped me a bit was a 30 for 30 challenge I did a couple of years ago. I picked 30 items and remixed them for 30 days and didn't buy or pull anything else from my closet. It made me rethink how to wear things and pair pieces w some I never thought to. It makes it less overwhelming and also helps filter pieces you never wear and pieces you constantly reach for.
I also think most of my stuff is boring lately. I keep buying gray sweaters & tshirts. I need a revamp.
Well when I have to SEE people, I can manage to clean up. But I'd love a mom-friendly wardrobe that isn't all LLL because the moms who wear that to preschool drop-off are actually going to the gym. lol
99% of my life is grey, so I think you're fine. But again, see: leggings as pants all day every day.
Who hates you enough to give you a gift card there?
They have one in the mall I work in. I bought a cute dress there (sundress). My student decided it was my favourite store so bought me $100 gift card. She bought my coworker a gift card for express.

This list is not okay. Except navy. I look really good in navy.
I'm too old to wear all of that 1993 nonsense anyway since I can remember wearing it the first time around.
I buy what I like and what fits me well. The hell with anyone who thinks things are out. I don't want to look like everyone else anyway. If I'm trying something more "trendy", I normally purchase from Target to try it out first.
This is great, but my fear in life is that I'll settle into something that I like and that I think fits me well...and not change for 20 years. Like the 70 year old ladies with bouffant hairdos, or the 50 year olds with feathered bangs. Mom jeans. I'm not a trendy person, but I like to look good, and I like to look good in a way that has people saying, "Ooooh, wear did you get that purse?"
I am not cool enough to just pull off something just because I like it and the rest of the world be damned.
I am totally going to do this, but it will be awesome. I've decided I'm just going to dress like it's 1960 forever and call it good.
