Oh, phew...it's not the L word

I opened my daughter's folder and found a form letter. It said "someone in your daughter's grade has....strep". Phew. I thought it was the lice letter! I mean, I feel for the kid with strep...but phew.

We haven't gotten a live letter this year (knock on wood). We got 3 last year. Dd got it twice!! I wanted to die.

LOL at live. My phone also autocorrects "lice" to "live" and it drives me crazy. My phone needs to understand my Lice phobia and respect the letters! LOL!

Lice is one of my biggest fears. I put tea tree oil in our shampoo just as a preventive measure. I'm scratchy just reading this post.

This is our first year at this school (we did receive lice letters in preschool or camps). But strep? This is new. Regardless, I am just still dancing that it's strep and not the big L.

But wow, you got a letter for strep in the class? We never get anything like that and I know for a fact a boy in DD1'd class last year had hand, foot, and mouth.

Lice gives me nightmares. DS1 got strep twice from someone in his class and I never got a letter home.

Ugh live sucks. Lots of hair spray if it does come around. They don't like dirty hair and are easier to avoid if you shellack your hair back

Glad t is not lice. It makes me itch just thinking about it.
If our school sent a letter home for one kid in a grade having strep we would get a letter weekly. It has been awful this year.

I'm surprised you get a letter for strep. I wish we did. DD has very atypical symptoms and that would help us catch it faster.

And yeah, I'm terrified of lice. Glad it wasn't that letter.

We get an email for strep or flu. When i called to tell school ds2 had flu i hot a class email within 5 minutes.
