I have a ProForm, bought it used from a co-worker, we like it very much. It's basic and older but works great. I like having a treadmill because I can read magazines and watch tv while on it.

We are getting one in our new house! The current owners are leaving theirs behind. I'm excited.
(H took a picture during the inspection today. It's a Nordictrak iFit. I have no idea if that's good or not.)
ETA - wait, I'm wrong. That's the bike. The treadmill is a proForm.
ETAAgain - I'm apparently very confused. H sent a bunch of random photos of the models and sent them out of order. The treadmill is ProForm, but the elliptical is the NordicTrack and the bike is schwinnfitness. I know everyone cares LOL.
I've always wanted my own treadmill. I worry that if I buy one, i'll never use it (or only use it for a short time). I feel like every person I've ever known with a treadmill, never used it. I certainly would be no different, lol.
I'm right there with you, sister. Our exercise equipment usually ends up becoming an expensive drying rack. Maybe this time will be different?

We have an older ProForm too and love it. Ours folds up, which is awesome. It has held up well over the last 5 years.

Yes, I love that feature!!!! It's a great space saver.
We have a life fitness model. It is about 7 years old and gets used a lot I put on an average of 80 km a week. It has never had a major problem. My husband had to replace a computer component about 2 years ago but it was a cheap fix.
We have a very cheap, very basic treadmill that my brother gave us when he couldn't use it anymore. I forget the brand. I wouldn't ever buy one so basic, but it does the job, I guess and it was free. I use it all the time in the winter.

We have a Pro Form that is about 10 years old and still going strong. It was about middle of the road in terms of features when we bought it.
I go through spurts where I use it regularly and other times it will sit for months. I try really hard to not let stuff pile up on it. If I have to move stuff off it then I am probably not going to use it.
I really like having it. It's one of those things that I don't use all the time but it's really nice to have when I need it. If it broke today and I would be getting a new one tomorrow.

I really really really want one, but to buy one that will hold up to the kind of running mileage I want to put on it without hurting my joints is too much money.
We also have a ProForm. It's been great and the warranty coverage has been too. We had an issue with the monitor, which I think was due to sweat/dampness in the basement and they replaced the whole unit. They also sent a tech out to adjust the track when the alignment was off.
I have a Proform that I love! I have had it at least 6 years and it is still going strong. Of course, I go in spurts using it, but it has gotten a lot of use over the years.
We have a 10 year old Bowflex 7. I'm not sure they even make it anymore, but it was a consumer report best buy at the time. I'd start there if we were looking again. We spent less than 1k, and DH and I both train on it consistently.
We have an old Proform that my parents gave us when they got a new one (probably 10 years old) I love it- we've never had an issues that required service and I hate exercising in a public gym so it's been great.

Have you tried craigslist? I can't remember what brand we got but it's one of the heavy duty ones. We paid soooo much less for a very nice barely used treadmill that my DH beats up on a regular basis. So many people buy treadmills but don't really use them before they get rid of them.

We have a ProForm now. We did have a NordicTrack. Bought both of them off of Craig's list. I LOVE THEM.
If you wait until the spring/summer months, most people realize they aren't going to use them after all and you can get great deals.
We use ours a lot. It's great for really early morning runs, late nighttime runs, or super cold/rainy weather. I try not to do my long weekend runs on it, but mid-week runs of 5 or less miles - it's perfect.
We have a True treadmill. I love it. I like getting on the treadmill at home as opposed to the gym since I can watch whatever I want AND not have to wear headphones to hear. I've also found 2-3 friends that have them and we try to exercise at the same time so we can chat. The accountability is great!
