I prefer the aisle seat so I can get up. I also prefer the middle seat over the window seat. But if I'm stuck in the window seat, that's my window!
I've only had one window incident and it was on a red eye. I was looking out the window at the pretty lights then suddenly the asshole behind me reached out into MY space and SLAMS my shade shut. Oh heeelll no! I slammed it right back up just as hard as he slammed it down. Then he has the nerves to put his nasty ass tennis shoes in the crack between my seat and the wall....right in my face. I lowered my seat back. No change. So I got my wine ready to spill all over his shoes. He moved it just in time.
LOL, ok you'd hate flying with me. I drink tomato juice sometimes when I fly...and only when I fly. I know it's horrible for me (SAAAAAAALT!!!) but my mom used to do it, and I think as a kid I thought it was a grown up thing to do and it still takes the edge off when I'm stressed since I don't drink alcohol much and def. not when I'm flying for work - was routine to bump into clients and colleagues at connection points. Tomato juice over those little donut ice cubes aaaaah! LOL.
Tell me more about this drink throwing?
I also only drink tomato juice when flying. It's a weird superstition thing I have. I've been doing it for as long as I can remember. I didn't know I was being so annoying. Whoops. I also have the window closed most of the time.
To be fair, I don't think nausea in response to tomato juice is all that common so I don't consider you tomato-juice drinkers annoying or rude. I also still think you have the right to drink it, and like I said I wouldn't actually say anything to you. I wouldn't even come to GBCN to complain about you after the fact! It's more of a "I wish I didn't feel ill when I smelled tomato juice" sort of thing IMO.
I always try for a window seat so I can keep the blind open. If I can't get a window seat and the person I'm sitting next to that does have the window seat shuts the blind I am PO'd. I don't say anything but it drives me nuts. I want to see out. I do think the person next the blind controls it, I just hope they will be considerate and either not close it the entire flight or ask me if I mind if they close it.

Aisle seat for lyfe, so you can do whatever you want with the window cover...unless it's a red eye. Keep that shit closed until at least 6:30/7am, especially in the summer.

I have a superstition too!! I only drink ginger ale on flights!

I always choose the window seat and I prefer to look out as much as possible. Love it! It's the best seat on the plane. But I do make sure it doesn't upset the middle person because I will need to use the restroom.
