How long have you been divorced/separated? Separated since Thanksgiving 2013, should be filing as soon as our tax returns come in--divorced 30 days after filing

What has your dating/love life been like since then? It's been quiet with intermittent bursts of activity. Several first dates, but not many second or third dates. Got stood up once. Long-standing crush that may be requited.

What are your hobbies? Movies, music (going to shows and finding new stuff), books, writing, beer, wine & food.

I've been separated for 3 years, but officially divorced for about 1 month. Just changed my name back!

I had 1 serious relationship (we lived together) while living in S. Africa for 1.5 years. We tried to stay together when I moved back, but we broke up. Now I've been dating a guy for about a month.

My hobbies are soccer (my passion!), ukulele, photography and learning French.

Fun fact: I've visited 9 countries in Africa.

What has your dating/love life been like since then? I've dated on and off and had one actual boyfriend for 2 months. But pretty much living single.

I left him 9/2013, filed for divorce 9/2014

Sporadic at best. it's HARD to date when you have 100% custody and be at the mercy of babysitters (friends and family IF they're available)

How long have you been divorced/separated? I left XH in June 2011 and we were divorced in September 2011

What has your dating/love life been like since then? Casual dating, one or two people who I was interested in but knew that neither person was a good fit. Now I'm in a serious relationship with someone who I could see myself ending up with.

What has your dating/love life been like since then? Until this past August, I hadn't dated anyone seriously. I've been with the same guy since August, but we've hit a weird patch recently and I'm not sure where we're heading.

What are your hobbies? Right now I'm in grad school - so all of my time is spent on homework. I'll be done in one month and am not sure what I'm going to do with my free time!

I live with my boyfriend. We've been together 3 1/2 years, though we were friends for ages before we started dating.

I've gotten really boring. Right now my hobbies are TV, singing songs to the cat and napping. I've been known to do theatre and write. I love make up. I took bass lessons for a hot minute, and I hated it.

Separated for about 10 months (since last May), divorce was final at the end of October.

Dated a guy for a couple months around Christmas but he broke things off in early February. Just starting to jump into the online dating world. I'm kind of excited but kind of dreading it - just depends on what hour you ask me

Skiing, running, yoga, watching trashy reality tv, wine, trying new restaurants, reading.

How long have you been divorced/separated? Separated May 2007, divorce was finalized Feb. 1, 2008.

What has your dating/love life been like since then? I was single and loving it for about 4 years after the separation. I dated a guy for a couple of years, and when that ended I started dating my Fiance.

What are your hobbies? Soccer, basketball, triathlons, working out, animal rescue

Fun fact or anything else you want to share! A year ago tomorrow, my FI proposed and we're getting married in Italy in July. I also graduate with my second masters degree in May!

We met on here - hung out a few times and then our leases were up around the same time, so we decided to get an apartment together.  I had my doubts because I'm thinking I'm in my 30's, do I really want a roommate - but to afford where I wanted to live, I needed one.  

She had only ever been to my apartment, I never went to her's.  We had VERY different ideas of what clean is.  She was also very passive aggressive.  Then there was a whole situation where she owed me some rent money.  When our lease was up, I moved into a one bedroom across the hall and our very last interaction was me dragging my dresser out the door and into my new apartment and her standing at the door yelling "good riddance you selfish bitch" and me replying with "oh fuck off" #keepinitklassy

What has your dating/love life been like since then? It does not exist.  I'm still overwhelmed at the thought of dating, knowing that the vast majority of men will veto me immediately.

What are your hobbies?  I'm teaching myself how to sew, and playing a lot of XBox

Hi!

I've been divorced about 3.5 years

The first year or so after the divorce I was a disaster, dating wise. I had so many bad one night stands and I didn't know what I was doing or what I wanted. Eventually I took a break and then got into a relationship, which I've been in for 2 years next month.

Hobbies: I read, I play with my son, I like silly video games and bad sci fi movies and music/going to concerts. I'm also actually learning to cook and getting into amazing food. In the summer I visit the amusement park like nobody's business because I love roller coasters

Interesting: I am adopted. It basically never even registers for me until I have to see a doctor and then I can't answer any questions about health history. Also I have a six year old son who has autism. He (usually) is the best kid, though.

We split over 2 years ago, it will be 2 years since things were finalized in August.

I waited about 8 months to start dating, then met my BF pretty quickly so I really only did the online dating thing for around a month. We've been dating 1 year, 5 months (I think?) and live together. We haven't set a timeline on marriage or anything but the idea is that we're planning our future together.

What are your hobbies?
I love to travel, I enjoy reading (although I haven't been doing it that much lately). I play a lot of board games lately and love spending time with my dogs. I also watch a lot of movies and like to meet up with people for food/drinks but IDK if that's really a hobby!

Like mp said, I really don't feel like I'm starting over anymore - I started over, now I'm just living that life that started over.

I do feel like I'm in a bit of starting over period in regards to career/future plans - I'm trying to find a new career path and/or go back to school, and my plans on where to live eventually have also recently changed (due to my family planning to move away from my hometown). So this period is somewhat reminiscent of when I had to start over after divorce, in some ways.

How long have you been divorced/separated? I wasn't either. I was a commitmentphobe but I had a couple of committed relationships ... that sucked. I had a nasty break up with one in early 2013.

What has your dating/love life been like since then? Crickets were chirping in 2013 for me. I had a crush on a friend who lived too far away. We're still friends and I friend-zoned him now that I'm in a serious relationship with someone else. I hooked up a couple of times with the guy who sold me a phone at the mall (he was cute and followed me around like a puppy). The sex was not good enough for me to keep going there. I've been dating the guy I'm with now since May 2014. He's like a short Mr. Darcy. No idea what the future holds but things are going well.

What are your hobbies? Err, you mean when I'm not buried in snow, working heavily or battling the vicious hatred of my immune system for benign substances? I like various different social activities, I'm fond of animals, I love to travel. I love learning new things and doing cultural activities. Basically, I like to mix it up. I'm mainly a city person but sometimes I like to get out and do random new things. I like day trips, dining out, attending museums and events, watching movies, going to different parts of town, shopping from time to time, etc.

Fun fact or anything else you want to share! I've lived in several different places and they were all quite different from each other. Also, I'm pretty resilient. I've definitely faced some challenges in life but I am always moving forward in a positive way. I might cry for a moment when something bad happens but I'm really good at adapting to change and having a good attitude most of the time. Basically, it's hard to really get me down.

PS: I no longer think I am starting over either. I was starting over in 2013/early 2014 but now I'm in the next phase. Getting into a relationship wasn't the end of my starting over but it happened at a time with a lot of other changes too. I do feel like I went through a big change.

WEll,  amazing, since I ended up getting remarried (and am thankful for my divorce and the growth I had since then) Dating had it's ups and downs, but I did actually enjoy it. How long have you been divorced/separated? 1 year, separated. Divorcing has been a train wreck.

What has your dating/love life been like since then? I went out three times as "friends" with an old college classmate/friend. He bought my lunch, tea, and dinner at each of those so I think we will have to call it a date. haha. It was a nice way to dip my toes back in. How long have you been divorced/separated?  Officially separated since Feb-14, planning to file for divorce this month.  I found out he was cheating two years before that (while I was still on crutches from an accident and my only coworker had just left for a new job - fun!), so...it's been a long process.

What has your dating/love life been like since then? I didn't date at all for most of last year, but I did meet a guy from OKC for drinks last Sept.  We reconnected in January and have been seeing each other since then. 

What are your hobbies?  I LOVE to cook, bake and entertain.  I also like to travel, watch TV, explore NYC and drink.
