I think there are a lot of phrases I'd consider. The only one I have thought of seriously is having my dad's signature "Miss you! Love you! - Dad" tattooed in his handwriting from one of his letters. Maybe on my hip or ribs.
When I told my parents about the fact that I'd gotten a tattoo last year, I mentioned to my dad that that was the only other one I would consider and ended up blubbering a little at even talking about it.
I already have the word "Saudade" on my right hip. It means "a deep emotional state of nostalgic or profound melancholic longing for an absent something or someone that one loves". I got it after my divorce, but I'm probably going to have my recently deceased Niece's name tattooed around it in a heart.
Yeah, I found it on Pinterest.
I also have the Kanji symbol for strength on my left wrist, also a post divorce impulse tattoo. I speak neither language that my tattoos are in. I might regret that a little bit.

I have two phrases already: "This is not permanent" (you wouldn't believe how many people ask if it's real. I wasn't expecting that.)
On my half sleeve that is currently in progress, I have "como la flor" and will have "pura vida" on the other side. It's a hometown tribute and Selena is from my hometown and I like the song and the meaning. ("Like the flower" and "pure life" in English).
I don't have any plans for additional words on my body after this.

The Hits and Misses tattoo is also a post-divorce tattoo. It was very apropos. I particularly love it because I suggested it for her. She wanted a FOB lyric, but wasn't sure which one,* and we were sitting at the beach listening to them and I heard the line, just as she was saying "this is my favorite FOB song."
*the runner up was "tonight the headphones will deliver you the words that I can't say," on her back. The words would be drawn as the cord from a pair of headphones. I loved this idea too.
Long version: "But I don't want to go among mad people," remarked Alice. "Oh, but you can't help that," said the Cat: "We're all mad here.." Short version: "We're all mad here."
Or
"Le temps viendra, I Anne Boleyn" or "The moost Happi - Anne the Quene"
ETA Somewhere hidden, either on my ribs or my hip or something.
"We're all mad here" is one of my favorite quotations I doodle it constantly.
"It is written" on the inside of my right foot. It's a quote from The Alchemist.
I have no tattoos and won't ever get one. I wanted an outline of the state of Texas and a small star where Austin is in the same spot on my foot, but H is pretty anti-tattoo and I never cared enough to bother.

"Out of these ashes, beauty will rise."
It's what I plan to get, I'm just not sure where. I can't have visible tattoos at my job, and I want to be able to see it myself, so I can't decide where it should go.
I love StoryPeople art by Brian Andreas. Two of my favorites are both probably too long for tattoos, but still:
"She said she usually cried at least once each day, not because she was sad but because the world was so beautiful and life was so short"
and
"There are lives I can imagine without children but none of them have the same laughter and noise"
My mom loved Brian Andreas and I was considering "If you hold onto the handle, she said, it's easier to maintain the illusion of control. But it's more fun if you just let the wind carry you," or just the last sentence.
I realize this is PROBABLY not what you have, but when you say "on my stomach" I envision big Old English lettering in an arc all Tupac thug Life style. I'm choosing to believe that's what it is.
