I'm lurking here because we're about to do a full reno of our main floor, including replacing our kitchen-- all of it-- with Ikea. I actually like what I see, for the price point. I can give more detail in ~6 weeks, when we install. What don't you like?
sugarbear The ivory "white" is a big one. The other is that the stiles on the medium brown shaker style are so wide. I don't like it.
I was excited when I saw the grey color since I liked that but the rest? Blargh!
I can't imagine off-white cabinets. I am pretty game, so far. DH designed the kitchen in just one night, and I think our total output for the whole thing is < $4k.

I'll post pics when all is said and done.
Please do.
The only white white cabinets they have now are the flat front. All the others are listed as off white.
Here is one example. You can see that the tile backsplash is white white and the cabinets are off white. And it looks like a yellow-y off white to boot.
Their new system does not feel anywhere as sturdy as the old. We needed to order cabinets in January and it had been my dream to order an IKEA kitchen. However, due to the impending change, they didn't have all of the cabinets we needed so we had to wait. The new ones were so much less sturdy that we went with Menards instead. About $1000 more overall but the quality feels different.
they change up the door styles pretty often, so that wouldn't worry me too much if I was planning a kitchen in a couple years.
however, I just glanced through the base cabinets and didn't see anything smaller than 15" offered this time. With the old Ikea kitchen I used 3 base cabinets that are 12" wide. They aren't the most convenient size, but they are the only ones that would fit on either side of my stove and between the dishwasher and the wall. I don't know what I would have done without that size option.
I don't really know what's different about the box. I need to see them in person. And what kind of inserts do they have this time? Did they keep Rationell?

I'm just glad they kept the high gloss white flat fronts because that's what's like. Anyone have details on what else is different? I see a metal support at the top. I heard the sizes are more modular too.

These are the ones that make me mad since they can make a white cabinet but chose not to do it in any other fronts and the high gloss flat fronts would be totally out of place in our house. Grrr!
We went in last weekend to check them out and I really like the narrow stiles on the light wood-tone cabinet (is that their birch shade?). If we went with it, we'd have to do a tile floor since I can't see those cabinets with our wood floors. But overall, I really liked the new stuff. I'm bummed they don't have the narrow-stile style doors in white since that's what I had originally wanted. We may look into custom fronts though.
I really like the corner cabinet pull outs and i LOVE that they added the glass inserts for the drawers. That was always my huge peeve with Ikea kitchens, I always imagined stuff would fall through the sides of the drawers and irritate me constantly. Now I see lots of the drawers have a glass insert in the side to close it up. Also I love the lighted drawers. They light up inside when you pull them out. Fancy.
