I also agree with AutumnRose25 - that seems like really outdated advice and rather concerning that he wouldn't even want you to wean but stop altogether.
If you trust your old PCP, I'd go and speak to her about your concerns. Perhaps she can also recommend a great ob/gyn that might work better for you (meaning they won't dismiss your feelings or brush them off as not being as important as they are).

Hi and welcome! I would definitely look for a new psychiatrist, I'm on zoloft (have been for yearrrrs) and ttc is such a mindfuck I can not imagine doing it off my meds that help me have a stable, productive life.....
Would it be difficult for you to visit your old PCP who knows your history? It sounds like that's what you should do. Not that she'll have all the answers for you but at least she knows you and will be able to talk to you thoroughly and competently and most important it sounds like you're most comfortable with her.

There are several posters on MMM who have taken ADs while pregnant to no ill effects of their children. I would definitely seek out a professional who is willing to write you a script while pregnant. If you need any reassurance I would post this over there, too. (hugs)
