We are using up ingredients so there are some repeats from last week and strange combinations. Has anyone tried the TJ's teriyaki chicken or kung pao chicken?
Haven't tried them, but I now shop Fresh direct with my recipe list for the week in front of me and that cuts down on wastage. Of course, if I had HEB, I don't think I'd do internet grocery shopping.
Oh, on the chicken front, I'm making chicken and brown rice with veggies (carrots from today's farmer's market and green beans left over from last week). I put it all in a pot together and add about 4x as much water as rice, seasoning the rice with an organic veggie broth cube and let it simmer together for about 45 minutes. Everything comes out nice and soft for DS to gnaw on.

Shepherd's pie and garlic bread Out for my birthday tomorrow Beef and chicken tacos with chips/salsa Pork tenderloin/roasted red potatoes/broccoli Breakfast (eggs, pancakes)
We'll probably order pizza one night and get a rotisserie chicken another night. Then it's thawing out likely freezer-burned meat and making some frozen veggies. Moving sucks!
Tonight: Chicken Wings and stuffed mushrooms Monday: Hamburger soup Tuesday: grilled steak with peppers and mushrooms Wednesday: tortellini and sauce with breadsticks Thursday: something else on the grill with a salad Friday: crab cakes and rice
I didn't plan too too hard this week. I have a ton of stuff on hand at the moment so I can pick and choose easily enough.

We're moving on Saturday and have a random assortment of food this week.

When are you moving?
We don't have a date yet. We close April 16th, but need to do carpet and paint before we move. We still need to list/sell our house. Hopefully both this week!! (We just got a second call from someone interested & we're not even on the market yet!)

Good luck with closing and selling your current house!
We closed a week ago and the painters are almost done. They still need to do trim & doors but it makes SUCH a difference already. We will start moving on Saturday even though they won't be done with the living room built ins and some shelves for the play room.
We're trying to use up a lot of stuff we have on hand too. So, here's our weird menu:
Chicken enchiladas Grilled cheese and soup Homemade Nachos Bratwurst and grilled veggies Frozen pizza Deconstructed cabbage rolls for St. Paddy's Day Breakfast for dinner (bacon, eggs, toast)

TJ's teriyaki chicken is good! We tried TJ's sweet and sour chicken this past week and weren't big fans. The Chow Mein is an almost weekly meal in our house.

Oh I am so relieved that the teriyaki is good! I bought that with some of the chicken fried rice for like $6 total so I was willing to take a risk LOL.
namasteak is the teriyaki chicken just like marinated chicken? Or a sauce? I LOVE their soyaki sauce. I sometimes will just brush it onto chicken the last few minutes it's cooking or just throw some b/s thighs or pork or something in the crockpot with it and a little water (can get salty cooking all day). So good.
Its from the freezer section. Their soyaki sauce is really good too!
PS - I'm totally obsessed with the red beans and rice.
