Everything revolves around turning our guest room into a room for DD. - Have friend pick up full size mattress or deliver it to her (sold the bed itself last weekend, but they didn't take the mattress. Friend needs a full size for her DS's bed, so she's going to take the mattress! Makes me really happy not to pay $10 to have it rot in a landfill.) - Go through all the books, junk, and craft supplies currently in that room. Create sell, donate, rehome (within our house), and trash piles and start dealing with them accordingly. - Disassemble the desk that's in the room now and store parts for future building projects. - Make concrete plans for the closet we need to build in that room. - Make a plan and buy light fixtures to adequately light that room. - Bonus points: start plaster repair (or removal and drywall) on the cracked area of the ceiling.
Realistically, I'll be thrilled to get the mattress gone and start on any of the other tasks. But I'll dream big and cross my fingers that a crappy week means a productive weekend.
3. Wash down bathroom walls and talk to H about painting in there. We won't actually paint, but we can make a plan for it. I'm thinking we should prime based on the way it went on downstairs (going from a higher sheen to a satin sheen).
If you wash down the wall with a deglosser you won't need to prime.

I need a huge kick, we haven't done anything in a while and my list is growing
all our upstairs doors still need to be painted, I am hoping to get at least the ones in the master done this weekend (bedroom, bathroom, closet, linen closet) I think 4 is reasonable I need to put door stops back on most of the doors in the house and patch 2 holes from missing ones :/ and I need to start cleaning either the garage (if the weather is good) or my office, both are a disaster, you literally cannot even walk in my office anymore
I ended up sick and in bed most of the weekend I did get three of my doors painted yesterday afternoon when I felt a bit better so at least it's something. And they look really nice.
1) nail & glue the rest of the panel molding in the wainscoting (it's already cut) 2) cut/nail/glue the last few runs of base cap. 3) work on filling the above nail holes 4) maybe start sanding some of the filled holes & corners
I have so much to do, and always need a swift kick.
1. Stain the front fence. I really wanted to get the front fence stained today, but my hand is sore so maybe DH and I will knock it out one morning. It would go much faster with two people, so that one could roll on the stain and the other one could brush it out.
2. I need to buy boards and stain for shelves we are putting in the guest room. We're going old school with shelf standards and brackets, and hanging the standards is on the list for tomorrow too.
3. Donate. Donate. Donate. I have some upholstered chairs that I have been wanting to reupholster, but they are just too big and don't work here, and a mid century (not modern) dresser that has been painted badly, that I don't want to put the effort into stripping or selling, and they need to go. We have a drop off center for Goodwill nearby and we have a scheduled pick up from another charity this week so we will see what we can purge this weekend.
Those are the main things but the list is long. I'm sure DH has a different plan/different priorities though, so maybe making a list together should be the first thing on my list. lol

1. Not die. (My H is driving to Colorado on Saturday morning and he'll be back sometime, I'm guessing, early Sunday morning. So I'm solo with both kids all day on Saturday.)
1. Get my kids healthy! I haven't gotten anything other than the basics done in the last month because one the other or both have been sick. With the weirdest stuff.
2. Get myself together..lol. I'm such a mess. And tired. See above. That's today's goal.
3. Get caught up laundry
4. Pack for mini vacation
5. Scrub kitchen floor
6. Go to Target and buy more solar lights
7. Pick up mulch for the flower bad and a couple bags of sand to refresh the sandbox before the cousins move in for Easter.
8. As always I need to dump some clutter.
9. Get stuff together for FSIL bridal shower.
10. Take the bottle of carpet stain remover around the house and get some yuck out of a couple spots and rugs.
All of this simple and takes like 9 minutes...I just have to do it.
I need someone to follow us both around all weekend and continue to administer kicks... Preeverything else - PICK A DAMN PAINT COLOR.
1. Cut all access holes for cleanouts and valves in laundry room. 2. figure out what needs to happen to fix the busted hose bib outside of the laundry room and fix it 3. drywall repairs as needed. 4. 1st coat of paint. 5. get a solid start on trim. finish at least baseboard trim and door trim?
The next weekend is finish trim, nail holes, sand and caulk, and then paint on trim and walls. And hang cabinets. Maybe. At least put w/d and everything else back where it belongs.
oh I so need a kick lol. What I need to finish: 1.I need to do paint touch ups in master bathroom 2.Re hang mirrors in there 3. Assemble cabinet to go between the mirrors 4. Paint over patches in the powder room ( I removed a towel bar and ancient toilet paper holder (relocated new ones) 5. Second coat on upstairs hallway paint 6. Hang Curtains in living room 7. Work on ceiling patch in foyer( I just can't get this one part to look flush I think I need to remove light and go wider in that area with the mud.. Ive been avoiding this job so much) What I want to do: 1. Start designing new landscape for front yard. I want to bring it down alongside the driveway and around mailbox. 2. Remove fallen tree limbs and clean up beginning of forest behind house - make it more visually appealing 3. Start stripping Deck- might be too cold for this still supposed to be in the 50's ideal is 60+ I think.
So basically I want to be outside but have to finish inside stuff first. Of course all of this in in between baseball and softball practiced this weekend for the kids so I will be lucky to get one done.

Not feel exhausted all the time... So I'm unmotivated to do anything. We need find a couch we can agree on. We didn't like the one we originally wanted. I work all weekend so I doubt I get much done
1. Homework. All the homework I neglected to do over spring break. 2. Clean almost everything. Kitchen, living room, dining room, bathroom, bedroom. I don't care about anything else. 3. Clean the gutters, rake the yard, and clean out the giant planter.
We're having a party at the house this weekend so my chores must be completed tonight!
I am glad to report, though, that since our water heater exploded and ruined our basement in October, we are FINALLY finished with the repairs. We filed a homeowners claim and it's state law we had to turn the payment over to our mortgage co and they had to monitor repairs and disperse it back to us. We had to replace the flooring in our entire basement and repair the storage closet. It was finally done on Wednesday and the inspector came yesterday to close it out! Woot!
We got everything put back into the storage closet last night and we managed to clean off a shelving unit and throw out a hoard of shit we didn't need which was nice!! Basement area was also cleaned. I cleaned the third floor on Wednesday night, I just have to finish vacuuming.
Other than that I have to: -I only have to clean 2 powder rooms for the party. -Bona mop the new living room floor. -Clean kitchen -Party food prep -DD has a Daisy field trip at noon tomorrow and after that she's going to IL's for a sleepover -Sunday is FIL's birthday so we're going over for lunch -DH's birthday is officially Monday and I have to figure out a gift. lol
ETA: Got everything done and still figuring out DH's gift/dinner/evening plans
I want to till the beds outside and put together the decking, and maybe get some plants for the front bed and make some kind of plan to mulch... but it snowed today. :/ Supposed to be 54 tomorrow, though. I might also go get the summer clothes from the basement, but again, it snowed today.
1) Get new tires put on my car 2) Laundry 3) Clean my really dirty, neglected house 4) Hang my spring wreath 5) Pick out a paint color for my laundry area, maybe I'll post a poll here 6) Spot clean area rug in LR due to Pukey Kitty 7) May attempt to clean couch and side chair with the upholstery attachment to our new rug cleaner 8) Take care of DH, who has a massive toothache due to an infection and has a root canal scheduled. He's on Penicillin and Vicodin in the meantime. Poor guy.

-trip to Home Depot/Lows -finish painting living room -rip out carpet staples upstairs -plant berry bushes -find people to come cut down the tree right next to our house -pick up latest craigslist purchase -possibly start making shower rod for the stupid shower enclosure upstairs
ETA: And H has some repairs to make on both of our cars this weekend
figure out a countertop for the laundry room. The cabinet below has a drawer, and I didn't realize every in-stock countertop has a waterfall or similar edge, preventing the drawer from opening. Sigh. So we may need to order something (unless anyone has other ideas?)
decide on a freaking living room rug, which has been like 1 year in the making.
I have soooo many things that need to get done, but will hopefully start here: ~laundry ~figure out wreath for door ~deep clean master bedroom ~measure dresser to see if it will fit as I envision it ~visit parents and help them with a couple projects ~start new donation box and work on filling it

Can you put a piece of plywood on top of the cabinet, under the countertop? It will raise the counter up a smidge (1/2 - 1 inch) and allow you to open your drawer. Just an idea.

I just came back to the post to suggest the same thing.
I have a busy weekend planned. I have been a slacker the last week and it is catching up to me since some of my stuff has a hard deadline of next Friday and Saturday.
Saturday
Cut and desharpen the edges of 5 wine bottles for RD centerpieces (my brother is getting married next weekend)
See if I can order roses from Costco in white, pink and red
Etch capital Rs onto the wine bottles
Place cards for the RD
Table map for framing
Shorten straps on my BM dress
Color hair
work on a website for a non-profit
work on a gate for my deck to keep the dog on there when I am in the garden
order seeds
prep the "grow op" so I can start seeds when they arrive
shopping
laundry
Dog snuggles (though this one may move up depending on how the rest of the list goes )
1) clean my car inside and out. It's disgusting right now. I've needed to clean it for over a month.
My car has quite the collection of stuff. 3 shopping bags of clothes to donate, one huge gift bags of books to take in, clothes to send mrs j (on today's agenda). Oh, plus the dirt.
I think I'll add to my list!
It's done! Feels great and didn't take long.
I'm going to add to my list going to see the duplex with the realtor. I know it's crazy, but he's thinking of buying it too, so I'm tagging along.

I cleaned the car and DH did deep clean the shower.
I did not purge toys, but DH found a townhouse downtown he wants to move to. My plan is to overlap this rental with that one. I'll move everything over and at some point declare Enough! And we will have to purge the rest.

I worked on a craft project for my grandma for her entry way. It's a calendar dry erase board, a cord board and a chalkboard. I need to figure out something to hold the chalk and markers and need to paint the frames. I also did some laundry.
Make a trip to Home Depot, Lows, Staples, Hobby Lobby, Jo Anns, Bed Bath and Beyond and SW for things I need and have been putting off.
Clean up the dog poop from my yard
Check my yard to see what plants and shrubs made it over the winter.
Clean out the garage.
Clean up the basement.
I should get off the internet and get busy.
Not only did I do everything on my list, I also pulled out my frig and stove and cleaned behind them and paid bills. I am on a roll here while I have this energy spurt.
