We did Helen yesterday and I used a black band because we were to do strict pull ups if we used a band. Well I can't do strict even with the green band so I used the black. It was way too easy but I could still feel it in my arms. I finished at 12:35.
Also, I can lift heavy but when it comes to pullups and those types of movements I suck. I feel so weird about it sometimes. Yesterday we did Romanian Deadlifts and I was messing around and lifting the guys bars as I went to grab weight since they had the heavy weight already set up. I think the heaviest was 195lbs and I did it 3x (my DL is more). So there I am with them telling me I'm a strong chick and lifting much more than the other girls that were there last night and after that I go use a damn big ass band for pull ups. It's annoying me.

I'm the same way. Weights are my strong suit. I struggle with all the gymnastics movements.
Weights today was establish a 1 rep max power clean and jerk. I did 135lbs. I'm feeling a little down about my weight lifting lately. Last fall I was hitting some pretty big PRs that I just can't seem to get past or even match lately. I've been trying to work on some technique stuff and I keep trying to tell myself that if I keep at it I'll see the gains, but it's still frustrating to me.
WOD was 3 rounds 100 double unders, 50 ab mat sit-ups, 25 hand stand push-ups. I am terrible at double unders, right now they are my least favorite thing to see programmed in a WOD and I have to do hand stand push ups with ab mats under my head. I powered through even though I was the last one done telling myself the only way I'll get stronger is to work on my weaknesses. 29:23.
