Also, gault, some companies have employees whose work schedule contains a weekend so it would be appropriate for them to get docked for weekend PTO. I've seen where companies get too lazy to set up work schedules for separate groups of workers so this is what ends up causing the problem you just had.
Gotcha kaneen. Payroll told me next time to create several pto requests to get around this. How many people have potentially done what I did and got robbed of their benefits? Pure laziness and not wanting to spend money on programming

This doesn't surprise me at all. Companies put this crap back on the employee all the time.
What time keeping system does your company use? If it's PeopleSoft a change like this could potentially be pretty time consuming and expensive. It's likely they decided that having employees enter time differently is a better than spending the money. Cost benefit and all that.
My FWP is that the shampoo and conditioner I thought I liked turns out to not be right for my hair and is making it look greasy partway through the second day. Boo. Now I have to start my search again.
Ours is set up so each employee has a "schedule" in Kronos. My schedule is technically M-F 7 am - 4 pm, but I'm salaried so I do what I want. My schedule is just there so I don't have the problem you had with scheduling time off. If I put in that I need off 3/27/15-3/30/15, it'll only count Friday and Monday since I'm not scheduled to work weekends.
Ah Kronos. Gah!!!! Yep, it can be changed to work the way it probably should at your company but it's very cumbersome. Kronos is notoriously difficult to change.
I wish, it makes me think of a really disturbing Goya painting.
Well, I thought The Incredibles until you reminded me of the Goya painting...
::evil laugh:: Yeah! I'm not going to be the only one thinking of that scary painting. I saw it in person a few years ago. The whole part of the gallery is full of Goya's black period work. I wanted sunshine and happiness after that room.

I would actually like to see it in person. Something that carries so much terror and darkness in Internet images must be incredibly powerful in person.

This painting in person was the creepiest to me. The whole room is lit dimly. It's called the Witches sabbath and is about 4'6" wide.

Okay...
the crowd is supposed to witches(ie, women), yes? Because my initial reaction is:
FEMINIST - FUCK YEAH
...but looking closer at the image, it seems that he's painted some of the women to look like men?

Why do they all look like frogs?
He was old, deaf, suffering the effects of an std (can't remember which) He painted them on the walls of his house. He never meant for them to be on display.

Syphilis!
I don't know whether that is true, but if his brain was cottage cheese, that might be it.
