Kyle said this on RH of Beverly Hills last night. I thought, huh, what?! After Kyle said it she said now my girls will think I'm cool for using that or something to that effect. Glad I know what it means now.
I've only seen it used in reference to eyebrows lol and I don't even know what vine is callmehales? teach me!
lol, from what i've gathered, it's basically like IG, but only for short little videos. i think it started before you should put videos on IG, or some nonsense.
you can follow people, and send vines to people, which is how things like "on fleek" go viral and get picked up.
I love this thread so much. The other day a friend of mine posted on FB asking what "on fleek" meant. I had just found out the day before or so, so since then I've been using this phrase as much as possible in as sarcastic a way as possible.
I've heard people say "fleek" and I thought it meant fucking sleek. Like that way fugly means fucking ugly. LOL. I have the oldzzz. And they sound stupid.
Eyebrows are serious in the makeup world. Seriously like a routine. I just use the Anastasia BH Brow Wiz, spend about 30 seconds per brown and move on. Some girls have over plucked and have damage control, so a lot of grooming is involved.
Therefore when they're full and manicured, they're on fleek. I think it's funny personally.
Also the meme "Don't worry about me, worry about your damn eyebrows"
Trust me when I say I get eyebrows being serious business. Id bring my brow pencil/powder as part of my 5 items I could have on a deserted island lol
I just didn't know what "on fleek" meant and does it only apply to eyebrows?
I am so glad I have this board because I have never heard of most of this stuff before. lol. I don't watch TV because my kids are always watching cartoons or my H is always watching sports so my pop culture knowledge is seriously below average these days. Teach me more young wise ones!!!! haha ;P

It's kinda scary all these new lingos! I work in a professional office and was helping a girl in a different department out with some excel questions. I think she said "oh snap" like 10 times while I was helping her. (Mind you I have never worked with her before and her manager asked me to help her with a file I was going to be sending them). I am scared for the next generation.
The use of "dank" in that context is way old...Ilike 90's old.
This reminds me of when I first started hearing people use "basic" in the way that has now become so popular. I remember thinking how ridiculous it and the people using it in that context sounded.
I have only heard the word dank used to describe weed or beer that smells somewhat like weed. I just saw fleek in instgram and had to return to this post to figure out what the heck it meant again.

In HS (I graduated in '06) we'd refer to weed as dank if it was really good. I think people just expanded, so there is a lot of stuff that's "dank".
I have been told my eyebrows are on fleek and it made me feel old and silly. Same girl told me I was 'so clutch'. Well alright then.
Someone commented this on someone's eyebrows on insrgram this weekend. Her eyebrows were way too dark and fake looking. I believe it's a joke and it means they are not on point and are simply tragic.
