Aka, things I want to aw, but not make separate posts.
The new site is up! The accessibility isn't 100%, but I wanted to get it up because I'm working on a grant proposal with the DIA museum possibly and it's very promising.
Plus after my ranting yesterday about the rehab addict house we got an email from the woman about the lots. They might be coming out soon. But I don't know she's been saying that for six months. But it makes us feel good that she thought about us to email us at all.
I love when autocorrect changes randoms to ransoms. It makes me laugh every time.
How much more would you be willing to pay to avoid buying something from Hobby Lobby? I found a white with yellow anchors fabric that would work with both the color scheme and theme I have going for DD's room, but it is $11/yard online and I could get it at HL for $6/yd. I really hate shopping there and only went because they were the last resort for something else I needed, but saving $20+shipping is very appealing...
Also, anyone want to weigh in on which of these fabrics you like best for curtains for a little girl's room? Leaning towards a yellow rug and lavender walls, using teal and navy as accents. (DD's favorite color is yellow, so I want to use it, but I do not really like it and want to avoid having a whole room painted yellow.)

AmyRI, I like the starfish. And I'd get the fabric at Hobby Lobby. I hate myself every time I go in there, but my options are slim.
I managed, somehow, to have multiple contacts in my case this morning and managed to have at least 2 in each eye. I took them out Monday night and didn't see that there was a pair in there, so I had two sets in the case. I'm pretty sure I had 3 in one eye at one point.
My random: I can't eat enough. Everything gives me heart burn. It really isn't the food. It's actually the baby pushing my stomach up so I can only eat small volumes of food at a time. And I am hungry all the time because of this. I'm actually getting worried about baby not gaining enough weight due to this. Sigh.

Quilt that is the basis for the room:
I like the starfish the best. I would probably just buy from HL, but I don't really boycott stores.
What is all the Hobby Lobby hate...Is there something I need to know?
Some people find their business practices abhorrent (they want to restrict access to birth control for their employees, there have been issues with fair employment of people who are pregnant, they buy cheap shit from China but espouse Christian values, etc.).

This, and I'll add the discrimination against the LGBT community to my list of reasons I'd rather not shop there.
Good news - HL didn't have the starfish, only the anchors (which google then lead me to starfish and seahorses), so I'll just buy it online and my moral side doesn't have to do battle with my MM side. Win win.

There's way too much. CEP is one of those boards I always read but never participate in because I would just post "um, yeah, what she said." I learn so much though!

I had to make an emergency visit to the dentist yesterday (broke a tooth) and the filling he did doesn't bite correctly, so I'll have to have him change it a little when I go Monday for my crown.
We're trying to convince our hoa that they need to landscape the common area in front of our house, because it's technically their responsibility. This is like pulling teeth and our yard looks like crap right now while we wait.
R has started riding the bus to work in an effort to be more ecologically respectful. He's always the only professional rider - lots of blue collars, but no other white collars. It makes me sad that apparently the bus is so under utilized. (It takes 15 extra minutes for R and costs less than 1/4 what he spends on gas.)

I like the lamp, indylady. Why do you think you overpaid?
mrs.jacinthe, I think I chipped a tooth (the first molar behind my eye tooth) and I know I should call the dentist, but they're only open Tuesday through Thursday. And I don't want to hear that I did chip it and have to get a crown on it.

My dentist was all "no need for a crown. I can just fill it." Obviously that's not the case always, but I was happy to hear it.

I'm usually more frugal! They were $80 each which I guess feels like a lot for Home Goods. I rationalize spending more on rugs, couches and art but not lamps. It's just in my head.

Today is my FRIDAY!!! Yes it demands all caps it's been a shit week. Monday night DH lost his wedding ring. I'm hoping to get a lot done this weekend. I'm super excited I got all the inherited Christmas dishes put away in my China hutch. I ordered some vinyl today to make some shirts for a friend so I'm looking forward to that.

He is a miracle worker, but I'm nervous it's the tooth I've put off the crown for - because so much of the chewing surface is a filling, he wants to go ahead and do the canal-and-crown so it doesn't break on me. My last dentist was a dipshit and didn't get all the decay from fillings so my teeth were basically decaying on the inside. Thank goodness I was going 2x a year for cleanings and getting regular x-rays.

$80 is more than I spend - but my children like to climb on the tables. So I buy $30 jobs from Target.
