This is the 3rd morning in a row that I've gotten up at 4:30 to work out. I ran 5 miles on the treadmill (without stopping - omg) both Tuesday and today, and I lifted yesterday. I was so close to crawling back in bed when I stood up this morning and realized how sore my legs were, but I powered through and felt great in the end. Thank god tomorrow is a rest day though. Now I just need to rest up for a 10 mile run this weekend.

Way to go!
I picked up another spin class at the fanciest gym (I work for a local chain, and this one is known as the fancy one) the people were so nice and loved my workout--plus, it's nice to be on Keiser bikes and not under maintained startrtack ones! I feel like I'm moving up inthe world!
If only mr Debbie downer (dh) would be more supportive--he think it's crazy that I'm teaching 2 classes in a town on Wednesdays and is pretty doom and gloom about everything that could go wrong (traffic! You could get tired!)
I'll be starting vacation next weekend and I am so excited to run amongst some beautiful scenery. We're going to NC and will be visiting family in Asheville, Cary, and Jacksonville. I love NC. DH loved it there when he went for the first time a few years back. It was so hard coming back to the ugly brown and concrete laden CA.

Please go to French Broad Chocolates. For me. And then tell me all about it in vivid detail so I can live vicariously through you.

Today's swim was one of those where everything is firing as it should and just feels amazing. The pool temp was cool enough (79-ish?), I got enough sleep (except that I was dreaming that my Blue Apron box came with live betas and we were supposed to boil them and I woke up in horror. LOL), my shoulder wasn't bothering me at ALL, I ended up sharing the lane with my usual crew, including one guy who wears fins and makes every swim an OWS. It was just ... perfect. I was holding 1:40s at a moderate effort level, which was AMAZING.

Forget that....bring some to Atlanta for me! That is one of the two best chocolate bars I've ever been to!
sweetptater I love the small potatoes so much. so very much. <3
My AW is that yesterday I was able to hit my carb goal for the first time! It wasn't easy for me to change my eating habits to get myself up to 65% cals from carbs without going over calorie limit, but I did it! yay me!

I have to say, I liked them a lot more before I had kids demanding to watch them 24/7.

Is it downtown? If so, I am pissed off that when I worked downtown I never saw it. I never explored either (stupid me). But you know this will sabotage me right? Chocolate and I get along way too well.

LOL! That's true, my kids went through a small potatoes phase where they were watchign and/or singing the songs 24/7. However, I'll take that over Caillou any day.

Yes, it's downtown. When we were there, I went THREE TIMES in four days. My only regret is I didn't go a fourth time.
Then my H got me 2 dozen for Christmas and I nearly cried tears of joy.

The first thing I saw was chocolate brownies. SOLD
The chocolate creme brulee is amazing. If you like coffee, get a French press. And if you like chocolate and raspberry, get a millionty raspberry truffles. They're so good, I just want to fall over and DIE.
I have one! I finally did my first track workout in over a year & a half. Hell, I haven't done any kind of speed work (beyond MP runs) in over a year. It wasn't anything crazy or difficult. Just 6x400 with an active 400 recovery between each set. With that, warm up & cool down it was a 6.5 mile workout. Not crazy fast for 400s (I averaged them at a 6:16 pace), but I have to start back somewhere. My goal was to be about 35-40 sec below my 5k PR pace & that's exactly what I did. Yay, me!
