I have a wedding to go to in 3 weeks and I'm burnt out on looking at dresses. The groom is one of J's closest friends and I'll be meeting everyone in that group for the first time.
Its a late afternoon/evening wedding, not formal, and the weather will likely be cool.
I'm tall, I'm fat (plus size), and would like to keep it $100 or less.
Long? Short? Are you open to ordering online or would you rather try before you buy?
Long is preferable but short is ok if its not too short. If it is shorter, I prefer more A-line or fit-n-flare or whatever the kids call it these days, because I have massive hips.

How dressy? I just ordered the Lands End sheath dress based on someone's recommendation here, and I loved it. It's comfy and flattering and has pockets. It comes in black, navy, lots of prints, and with sleeves or without:

@fucksticklegit do a pretty vintage dress! If it weren't 3 weeks I'd say order from Lindy Bop directly, but you can find some of their stuff on Amazon. not as expensive as other vintage brands.
I prefer fitted top with a flare skirt because my hip to waist ratio is.. stupid.

Ok this just might do me in. I've had a Lindy Bop dress in my Amazon cart for a few weeks but I've been waffling over it and looking at other options. Its probably a bit much for most people but I kiiiind of love it.

Do it!!!! I have a purple butterfly dress in my cart for the next time I can justify buying a dress.
The dress I just bought was stuck in my head. I kept waffling too and looking for other ideas, but at the end of the day I made the best decision by getting a dress that was totally "me".
