I'm fed up with my hair. I've been growing it for donation, and I think I'm just over 9" so I'm chopping it tomorrow. So, a shorter bob that I anticipated but it has to go. And then, I'm going to try dying it myself afterwards. So, it may be a hat for me for the next 2 months!
Sunday is DH's birthday. I have no clue what I'm doing for him. He had mentioned wanting a new BBQ, so perhaps that. Or a new mtn bike, but that's way more $ than I'd like to spend. And, we'll probably go out to eat, but Oliver has been a total jerk lately (hello, 3s) and I foresee him being a complete terror in any restaurant.
Just got back from the dentist - I need a crown & have two cavities. Fuck, not how I wanted to start my Friday. At least I have dual coverage for dental insurance.
I'm sorry. I just had a crown and 2 cavities filled on Tuesday, it took 3 hours! The actual procedures weren't awful but my jaw was SO sore from being open that long.
I'd much rather have a PAP than go to the dentist.

I knew the crown would be coming eventually, I had a lot of fillings in middle school so now those fillings are starting to break down. I was surprised by the two cavities though. I ended up buying the special toothpaste they recommended. I'd much rather spend $20 on toothpaste a few times a year than have to have dental work done.

@mrswindycity @littlemoxie I interviewed 2/26 and 3/4. Decision-maker said he wanted to make a decision by 3/13. I followed up on 3/17 with an email, and he responded on 3/18 that he still hadn't decided but would contact me if he had further questions.

Hugs. I really hope you hear. And FWIW if I were an interviewer I would DEFINITELTY call you when I had made a decision either way - or email if I were cowardly. It's not fair to keep people hanging like that.
I'm going into an interview and I punched a nerve in my neck this morning and can't look right. Hopefully I don't look ridiculous babying my right side.

Yeah, he said he had narrowed it down to a few people, myself included, so I would think he would follow up with the rejects as well. I mean, at this point I've waited so long to hear back that I just want to know--either way. If they didn't chose me, so be it, but at least let me know so I can be sad and then start moving on!

My day is continuing to go down hill to the point where when the drive through lady at Tim's said the latte machine was broken and I couldn't get my salted caramel latte I'd promised myself as a reward, I had to hold back tears. FWP...
noodleskooze - that sucks that they've kept you waiting for so long. Personally, I would move on as if I didn't get it, just so that I can be happily surprised if something changes. If not, then it won't be so bad since you'll already be prepared.
I know you're right. I guess my main problem is that this job would have been willing to take me on as non entry-level, whereas anywhere else I happy, I would probably be considered entry-level since I'd be switching careers. If that's the case, I might as well stay where I am.
P and I are having a pajama and TV day at home. We've left the house too much this week.
His hair is getting so long and I'm obsessed with figuring out what color it's going to be. C was born with dark hair, molted at 3 weeks old, and it grew back blonde. P has only lost a little bit but it's definitely darker. I can't tell if it's just brown or if he's going to be a ginger--it looks really red in the sunlight.
DS woke up with a rash of some sort all over his entire body. He was put on antibiotics for strep almost 10 days ago, so not sure what it is. Ughhh
Was it amoxicillin? Ds got a rash the first time he was on that. If you google amoxicillin rash you can see pictures. It can be totally harmless, not an allergic reaction. I just called the nurse live and they weren't concerned.
It's an anoxicillin rash! But the doc thinks it's still an allergic reaction because it's more hives/welts. He just said we won't use the drug again for a few years.
I just ordered myself a new phone! This is big for me because it will be my first smartphone. I'm probably one of the last millennials to still have a dumb phone. Strangely the single most important feature I'm looking forward to is the ability to take decent quality pictures and upload/share them easily.
I just had to call the local sheriff office to put a deer down that had been lying on our property not moving since last night
This winter needs to end, it has yet to be above 45 and it's almost April! I'm over it and I normally don't mind winter. All the poor animals are starving
I hate snotty-snot responses to issues posted on our school list serve. Some people have been complaining about incidents on their kids' buses and then one mom swoops in to say, "this is why I drive preshus to school." um, good for you?

I needed something to binge watch in the background so I turned on HIMYM from the beginning. I don't think I've rewatched the first episode since the finale.. I am loving and hating this all at once, haha.
I just chased a lamb around my yard. We live on 5 acres and keep the back 2.5 acres as pasture that we let our neighbor's sheep use (they keep the grass nice and short). A bunch of the sheep had babies in the past couple of months, and we're finding this year that there must be a weakness in our fence that the lambs can take advantage of, because this is the second time this has happened. Last week it was a bigger lamb and it took both me and DH to corner it and carry it back to where it belongs. Luckily this time the lamb went through the propped open gate with just a little encouragement.
These adventures bring back memories of 1.5 years ago when I was pregnant with DD and chasing our other neighbor's escaped longhorn cow back onto their property! What is it about me being pregnant and nearby livestock escaping?! I think it's hilarious but slightly inconvenient.
There was an $831 charge on our CC from yesterday. Yeah, no. I called Groupon first to see when exactly the charge was made and which account it was tied to (old Groupon accounts, mine or my husband's since we both use the card) and they had already refunded the money and it'll post in 10 days. They'll then shut down the Groupon account, which is fine since it's an old one of mine.
The lady was SUPER nice and explained everything in detail. I've always been happy with their customer service, but this was excellent.
