The group I found to run with tomorrow (18 on road; trail I would have had lots of options!) is meeting at 6am, a half hour drive from my house. Pours one out for Mush's Friday night. I'm on deck for child care, but planning to hit the hay as soon as the kid does.

Relaxing tonight. Ran 9 and taught this am then fought the grocery store. Ugh! Still need to wash floors, finish laundry and then I'm done for the night!!!! :-) it's raining, gloomy and a great night to park my ass on the couch. YAY!

Hopefully getting out of here by 6-6:30pm the latest. Then having a drink with dinner and going to bed early. I have a long day of work tomorrow followed by a friend's birthday party.
I can't believe you guys are already (basically) finished with Boston training. Although I suppose it's easy for me to say that it flew by. LOL Maybe not so much for the people actually training!
No big plans for us. We're relaxing tonight. We have two different kid's birthday parties to go the tomorrow. One at 11:00 (3 yr old) and another at 5:00 (7 yr old). We're only briefly stopping by the evening party. Long run on Sunday w/our usual crew.

We have to go to an event tonight. H is required to go for a certain time. It should be interesting though as it is vendors from the city and there are some raffles we could win. Tonight is also nachos for dinner. I am super super super excited about this. No great reason why i am excited other than i love nachos and salsa and yummmm. My socks are out for delivery today! a whole day early. Mail doens't usually come untill around 4-5 though ugh.
I want to go home. My patients are late, I'm tired, im grumpy. Kid has gymnastics tomorrow and we have a community egg hunt on Sunday but other than that laying low. My husband works all weekend so who knows exercise wise
Day = Made. I have been sitting on a return credit to Road Runner sports, and realized that I'll need another pair of the Brooks Adrenaline before the marathon. Boom, the 14s are on sale for $72, so I was able to get 2 pair for only $35 today!

They are here. I love the pink ones and snowflakes. The oranges striped ones are cool too. Also my h got something from the awards dept from his last unit. I am dying to open it but I wont. I *think* I may know what award it is about but I don't know what it will actually say if he has been approved for it, denied, or just an overview of what they submitted to the specific award council. If it is a approved it is a big deal award. I won't say here because identifying info and all that. Or it could be some other award who knows.
Update: it was an award but not the big one he was put in for (I would have been shocked if it was). But it is a good award and not one everyone can get because you have to have been involved in certain things.
Yay taper!!! I have one more beastly run before I get to scream the same hallelujah .
Today however I'm sick . Thank you to the 7 year old who refuses to wash hands or eat with a fork, and then wants a nice close snuggle... and thank you 4 year old who sucks her thumb and then climbs into bed with me to share germs all night. Every night.
I'm also choosing to blame my runner friends who have been on my case about my carb consumption. They convinced me to swap my morning green smoothie for oatmeal and now look what happened! Surely my kale would have spared me this sickness!
It's been a hellacious afternoon and not the most fantastic week. I'm going home and pouring a bourbon. Ooooh! OR (I just remebered!)...DH and I got this small batch of smoked grapefruit & salt tonic in Charleston this weekend. They suggest mixing w/vodka and soda water. I'm so excited!

Oh sweeeeeet baby Jesus, that sounds SOOOOOOOOOOO good right now.

cinco -- crazy to think this will probably be your last marathon taper for awhile! Mushe - I hope the 18 goes well . That timeframe is rough.
We are home now, hanging out drinking wine and making pizza. We both have a long work day tomorrow, so I'm rather worried about my long run. It may get pushed to Sunday afternoon, and when that happens sometimes it doesn't happen...

It was SO good! We had ruby red vodka, so I mixed it with that. Drool. I mixed us a couple of those & we just watched "This is where I leave you." Good movie!
So.. Would anyone indulge me on what you think of this dress? I ordered it to wear to a more casual wedding coming up, and I do think it's cute. Maybe too cutesy though? It's really short , and my H said it looks "a little ridiculous." He's honest w/ me about clothes, which I usually appreciate.
What do you think? Too teenage girl looking? (Sorry the pics will be huge. I'm on my phone.)

You look amazing. You have a great figure, but I would like it better if it was a solid color. The cut, combined with the color & pattern is too cutesy for me to wear, personally. With that said, I wouldn't think twice if I saw it on someone else. Do you like it? Do you feel good in it?
thom, I hope the Sunday long run happens! I totally get you on it not happening when it gets pushed. You are seriously so pretty. I would die for your figure! I'm with clseale that a solid might work better. Want us to troll the Internet for dresses?
oliviapope, welcome! Glad you're jumping in. We're definitely going to tell you to do it! Tell me more about the race series.
