I don't wrap. However. I know that stretchy wraps cannot be used after a certain weight and wovens are much better at that point. I like my buckles and straps lol.

I bought a woven one and never used it. They are trickier to tie than the stretchy wrap. Plus my babies didn't like swaddling so they hated having their arms confined in the wrap.
i have that one and I like it, but it takes a lot of practice to get good and quick. i use it around the house or if we're going on walks and it's easy to wrap pre-walk. it's not something I grab if I'm running in the grocery store or even longer shopping like the mall. my tula for longer ups and my ring sling for short trips are the workhorses. I got the wrap for a steal second hand and it's kind of a hobby, but I feel like to get really good at different carries I have to adopt the lifestyle and I'm just not that into it.

Well I think it is worth it...
but this is coming from someone who just spent $275 on a wrap like 45 seconds ago (to be fair, I sold a wrap of equal value to fund this).
They are great because you can do a variety of carries (front, back, and hip) and are INFINITELY more comfortable and supportive (IMO) that stretchys and buckle carriers.
The learning curve wasn't bad for me because youtube is amazing.
This is what is interesting to me, I don't feel like they would be comfortable, and I feel like all the wrapping would my fat rolls more rolly, lol.
I will wait to see what #2 is like…I use the ring sling for quick trips out of the car, I can put DD in there super quickly, she just doesn't last very long.

They are comfy because they keep the baby so close that they can't throw their weight around or cause your center of gravity to be too different from your natural one. At least, that's what I made up in my head as why. The distribute the weight all over rather than at certain points like the shoulders or hips.

That would be nice…I have found my ring sling uncomfortable at times.

I've never used wovens, but have heard they can be more difficult to learn. I have an Ergo, Boba (stretchy) and Mei Tai. I used a Moby a few times with my ds2, but didn't like it. Now I'm considering the ring sling in the link.
I had a woven and it wasn't my cup of tea. I feel like I would have liked it more if I was a SAHM and wore my baby around the house all day, but it's really awkward and inconvenient to be wrapping in a parking lot for a trip to Target or whatever.
I'm also just not very good at wrapping though. Lol.

I found it much easier to put the stretchy wrap on before you leave the house and pop baby in when you get some place then having to wrap with a woven when you get somewhere. Especially wrangling another child on top of dealing with the tiny baby.
That's also why I much prefer a SSC over a woven as well. Toss it on and go. It's all of 15 seconds to put on and toss the baby in.
I have found people either LOVE them or could just leave them.
I have a Tula and love love love it but wanted to try a woven. I bought it when DD was almost 3, so got a double weave (toddler weight) version. It was easy enough to use and she was sturdy but the Tula was just so much easier so I always grabbed it.
I tried a woven and found it to be really finicky. I may try again when she's bigger. I currently have a moby wrap (stretchy), boba 4g carrier and a k'tan I am too fat to use right now. I use the boba when we are out shopping or something and the wrap at home or when she may want in or out.
