I'm starting to "de-baby" DD's room gradually. She is still in the crib but we will probably move her to a twin in the next few months (have a bed frame I need to paint first). Keeping the wall color the same but getting new bedding and curtains. Going to probably change the wall decor some too. Anyone else? Have anything picked out?
Not anytime soon. Next winter is when we're thinking. I already know the wall color I want but not sure on anything else yet. I have started a board for ideas for it too though!
I've pinned a few things, but really it will just be getting her a daybed and moving the recliner down to the living room. I think I can keep her room the same navy and pink for a few more years. Maybe switch out some artwork.
DD has been in a toddler bed since last summer, but we're moving her into a twin bed when we move next month.
I'm having a blast redoing her room. We're keeping her IKEA Birkeland 3 drawer dresser. I am getting yellow chevron valances for her window. We're going to wall mount a full length mirror since she loves looking at herself after she gets dressed. Lol.
I bought a lamp from ikea and a bunch of frames for the wall that I'll fill up.
she also still loves to be rocked, we are getting rid of the hand me down glider and we bought the IKEA Poang rocking chair.
I think we're going to move her bookcase to the bonus room, and only keep the books we typically read at bedtime in her nightstand.
We got her the Catalina twin from PBK:
with the Chelsea bedding from there:
I am in the process of finishing the painting of this nightstand:
We are moving DD out of the nursery soon. We just emptied our other small bedroom to prep for paint and new carpet. We have a bed frame but we'll probably start with a mattress on the floor to give us time to refinish the frame. I'm looking at white dressers and a small bookshelf or cube system like the expedit.

My dd is turning 3 in May. I'm planning to get her a full size bed. I'm thinking of doing the Askvoll bed from Ikea. I like that it's lower to the ground and the price is great.
Her room doesn't have much for decorations. Her name is on the wall and we have the Eric Carle A to Z canvas and then a painted mirror. I will do more once she gets bedding.

DS has been in his crib converted to a toddler bed since August, but we want to turn it into a big boy room before the baby comes. DH is building this bed (assuming we ever have a free weekend). The picture is from Land of Nod, but it looks like we can make it for about $60 vs. the $600 it costs already made
His bedding is this
His walls are a blue that is like a darker version of the blue in the bedding, but same tonal family. I want to do a little reading area so i think I am going to do a kallax storage system/bench and maybe one of these chairs, in orange. He has a lime green beanbag already though so I am not sure. His room isn't very big, so I need to tape off the dimensions of everything to figure out how much I can fit in there.
My main goal is to create some sort of storage system so that we can move toys from the living room into his room. But we shall see.

DD has been in a big kid room for a while, but we are getting ready to move. DD's bedroom at the new house is going to be a lot smaller. Right now she has a twin over full bunk bed and I want to replace it with something smaller. I think we will wait until we find out if #3 is a boy or girl before deciding on replacing it with a twin over twin bunk bed or just a regular twin bed.
She has the Jumping Beans owl bedding from Kohl's and a lot of the Circo owl stuff from her nursery. It has held up really well, so I don't plan on replacing it. I'm letting her pick the paint color and she picked a light purple. I need to replace her rug and wall decor, but I haven't started looking yet. I'm slowly starting to change out the owl stuff since she's getting older.
@roseyposey good call on the poang chair! We will be moving the glider into the other room that will be a nursery for the next kid but I still want a place we can sit with her in her room. The poang would be nice and not take up too much space.
