So.tired. 1000k+ steps before 7 am. It was that kind of night. Violet can't sleep because she's so stuffed up, Owen wet the bed around 2am (I knew I should have woken him up to pee when I was up at 1) and H has a fever of over 101.
Thankfully my mom is coming to take Owen to a frog exhibit today. 9:30 can't get here soon enough.
Caleb is currently running around our house pretending he's playing Wii Fit. When Dh threw him a ball, Caleb caught it and said, "Three stars!" We realized he was referring to Wii Fit (he likes to watch DH play), so DH said, "Are you playing obstacle course?" Caleb took off running and then made himself fall. He got up an said, "I need to try again."
He's now on his third pass around. He's such goof.

Both of my kids slept until 8:20am!!!!! This is especially amazing because we are keeping them up extra late tonight for my grandpas party, so this should push everything back and they'll get late naps!
Is anyone else's 2/3 year old the worst right now?
He's has been terrible but the last few days have been good actually. We've been trying really hard to work on our tone with him. He 1000% feeds off of our anger and frustration. It appears to be working...at least for now.

Do you have plans for this afternoon? Going to a fun event near me at 12noon if you want to meet up.

I really do not want to go to work today. I was very happy curled up in bed. And I got invited to go to the West Indies for a week in June, which would be amazing. However, finding childcare for DD while I'm away will be super tough and it's stressing me out.
We're going to an Easter egg hunt this morning that's a 10,000 egg drop from a helicopter. I have zero desire to go bc it's cold, but I told the kids on Tuesday that we would go.
It's going to be a fun day! J's sibs are coming over for dinner and drinks and maybe staying the night. They LOVE the kids, and the kids all adore them. The girls are going to get pedicures and the boys are going to throw the baseball. I've missed family days!

We need to take the van to the mechanic because the engine light keeps coming on. I really hope it's a quick and cheap fix. That's the car that has cruise control, so it's the one I'm taking on my drive tomorrow. As much as I like driving, I'm not overly looking forward to driving 8 hours.
Although, if any Chicago people wanted to get together for an hour, I'm sure I'll want a break as I'm driving through.
Add us to the sick list. Coughing and runny nose started yesterday. We have a birthday party at a splash pad today but I think it may be too cool for it. Still need to buy the girls presents, I have no idea why I just didn't get something on Amazon like I normally do.

I hope your car gets fixed easily. Which route are you taking up this way? I'm in the far south suburbs near a few of the major highways.

A has always been a pretty good sleeper. I mean, she stalls at night like a champ, but once she's asleep we never have issues. We've been very very lucky.
Last night she was up every hour coughing. And half the time when I would go check on her last night, she was still half asleep. She's fine this morning though. It's so weird. And I'm so tired. Huge props to those of you that deal with this on the regular.
I am really regretting staying up so late last night
My mom is hosting a dinner for 17 Japanese guests this weekend and our stove and oven are broken. And our washing machine broke too just for the fun of it. She is so stressed. So Ian and I are helping a lot but it's taking our whole weekend and we're kind of bummed.
TimeHop just reminded me that it's been one year since the large earth quakes that was followed by hundreds of after shocks. Omg. Now I have earthquake anxiety again. That was so awful.

I'll be skirting around it, so 65 to 80, to get to 90

I know I'd have help at night, but all my family and babysitters are either at work or in school during the daytime, so that's the tricky part. And I'd be going with the guy I'm seeing, so I know it'd be amazing and we'd have a blast. He actually said last night that we should just bring her and a nanny, but I don't have any nannies I know here!!

That's pretty awesome! I hope you can find a nanny!
DH took DD to my sister's, with my dad too, they are helping her move. I wish I could say I'm enjoying the morning but I'm getting ready to go to the visitation and funeral of a friend/coworker's husband. He was only in his early 40s and had a sudden heart attack in the motn. I can't get the family out of my mind. Two kids, elem age.

Maybe you can find someone in care.com who you could bring with you. Hope you find someone!
