Leave the trim white. Usually on doors the window trim like that is a different material than the rest of the door, more plastic-y. From what I've seen, paint doesn't adhere to it nearly as well and will flake off much easier, especially if it sits in the sun. Obviously you can tell if that's the case with the trim on your door!
But if you do paint it all, cleaning off the glass should be pretty easy!
Paint it all. Lightly sand and use a primer. This may be stupid, and what you were already planning, but it's a lot easier if you take the door off the hinges. Lay it across saw horses or even trash cans. Yellow would be really pretty with your gray siding

I think I'd paint just the door and leave the trim around the door, as well as the trim around the windows and the bars through the window white. But I'd almost have to see it both ways to decide for sure. Not helpful, I know lol.

I would paint it as well. If you leave it white, it will call more attention to the trim itself, and if it is flakey or plastic, there's no reason to augment the trim.
Oh yeah, I'm not painting the trim around the door, just the trim around the window.
I was going to agree with sue and say paint it all, but if you're not painting the door trim then I might leave the window trim and bars white and see how that looks. You can always decide to paint the window trim and bars later if you don't like them white - it's easier to add paint then take it off.
Oh, I love it! And I'm glad you painted the whole thing. I think it would have looked weird with the frame left white. You just need a couple planters on either side of the door and you'll be all set.
