He fell, chipped one front tooth in half, the other is loose. NO ONE WILL SEE MY SON BECAUSE HE'S A) NOT YET A PATIENT AND B) YOUNGER THAN THREE YEARS OLD.
Motherfuckers.
Do I take him to the emergency room?
ALSO, my husband was with him for ONE HOUR after this fall and DIDN'T FUCKING NOTICE THE CHIP (I was working, I am ALWAYS FUCKING WORKING), then left with L for swim lessons so I'M DOING THIS ALONG WITH A BABY WHO IS DROOLING BLOOD.

That sounds ridiculous, I hate the "you aren't an established patient" line in an emergency. Can you tell them if they see O they will have gained a new patient?
Sorry about the teeth can anybody advise you over the phone? I'm not sure an ER would say anything other than that he needs to see a dentist.

That sucks about the dentists. However, I'm here to tell you that, in our experience, the dentist is going to tell you that it's a baby tooth and just have you make an appointment to slap some stuff on it.
Do you have a Universal Dentistry by you? There is one connected to an Urgent Care which is basically an Urgent Care dentistry by us. Sorry I hope you are able to find one soon.
POOR BABY!!! The dentist can build it back for you depending on how the fracture is. Just find a pediatric dentist or an e dentist who is open so you can take care of the bleeding now.
Oh my gosh! I am so sorry!!! I don't think the er can do anything for him. Do you have the other half of the chipped tooth?
No.
He's going to have a fucking pirate smile until he's like 9.Â
I just called my pediatrician. They're calling me back.
I'm so mad. SO FUCKING MAD.
I'm so sorry but my son had to have a tooth pulled when he was almost 2, he rocks the pirate smile. I'm gonna be a little sad when he gets that adult tooth!

I would hope a pediatric dentist would make an exception and see you since this is so common! Getting the x rays taken for a tooth injury is important, because that will let you know if there is damage to the root of the tooth beyond what is visibly chipped. We went through this last year, and my son's chipped tooth was fractured at the root and couldn't be saved. Another early pirate smile checking in.

No no!! They have stuff they use to build it back up. Ryan has had it done and you can't tell that anything happened
Same. I actually chipped off literally half of my front tooth on the edge of a swimming pool. They were able to use this epoxy stuff to fill in the missing piece. It looked pretty normal until I had to get a crown many years later.

Did you try asking at your dentist? When this happened to my dd my regular dentist saw her (she was almost 2). Her fall happened on a Saturday, I spoke to her pedi over the phone when it happened and they said it could wait till Monday to see a dentist. Not saying you should wait, just that maybe your pedi might have a suggestion.

Your own dentist turned him away? That is so shitty. And as for the "under three" comment, these dentists are being assholes. I was given a dirty side eye when I brought DS in to the dentist for the first time when he was just shy of three. Apparently I should have started the checkup process as soon as he started getting teeth.
I would definitely contact a pediatric dentist who should have no problem seeing him. Unless he's in pain or it's super sharp he will probably be able to wait until Monday but he needs to get it checked to make sure there isn't damage that needs to be addressed. If he's in pain, the nerve may be exposed and he needs to be soon ASAP.
They absolutely will build it. Henry has had it done twice. Once to repair where his tooth was pitted and then severely eroded, and again after he fell and chipped his previously repaired tooth.
How bad is the chip? My son chipped a tooth last year at summer camp when it was bring your bike day, I guess he tipped over?? The chip wasn't too bad, it wasn't chipped in half more like a quarter, kind of like the corner of the front tooth. It was a noticeable chip but it didn't seem to bother him so I just watched it over the weekend and we didn't have any issues. We had a doctor appt scheduled for the next week (I think?) and when I asked the doctor about it he said it didn't show any signs of the tooth dying (that might not be the right word) so to just keep an eye on it. Almost a year later it's still fine and I always ask the doctor to take a look at it whenever we go in. I'm in the process of finding a dentist for him and making his first appt. But, one of DS's friends chipped a tooth as well, but it was a larger chip, and they tooth died and he had to get it taken out recently. So based on how bad the chip is you may not have to get him seen this weekend, but I have no experience with a loose tooth.
ETA: I see you went to the ER, I'm glad they were able to do something for you today to get through the weekend. These types of things always seem to happen on the weekend or when it's hard to get into a clinic.
OH, and this made me laugh. The ER doctor was very cute. And probably younger than me, but let's not talk about that.
I'm wearing a cardigan with a low V over a tank top. I'd been carrying him and the diaper bag and essentially running around like a chicken with its head cut off, so the neck of the tank had shifted rather low.
Then it comes time for the doctor to examine the teeth/mouth and O loses.his.shit. O won't stay still, so I hold him, holding his head against my body with my arm so he can't move. Guess where his mouth ends up? Oh yeah, like .2 inches from my chest, which is exposed by the tank, AND my chest is all squeezed up with my efforts to hold the baby tight.
I could not have gotten my breasts closer to Dr. Hotness's face if I TRIED. For real, it was like the start of some really bad momporn. "Oh MY! Doctor! You're sooooo good at examining my baby's teeth! What ELSE could you examine?"
