Thanks for the support everyone. I'm definitely going to focus on the positive. She's chosen an aggressive course of treatment but that means less worry and wondering if they "got it all". And she really is so strong and zen about life, as long as she has her garden to enjoy, she'll be happy.
I just really hope that she has more time, I want her to be around for her future grandchild(ren). Selfish of me but I can't imagine becoming a mother without my own mother around.

I'm so sorry. My mom had breast cancer 23 years ago- just a mastectomy, no radiation or chemo, and she's been great ever since! Her doctor told her that if she were diagnosed now, she'd have everything done. She's, like, so proud of that fact for some reason.

I'm so sorry, hun. I can't imagine how scary that is. I am sending her (and you) all my love and good thoughts, that the mastectomy goes well and that everything goes great for her.

I know that hearing your parent tell you they have cancer is hard, and gut wrenching, but it sounds like with medical interventions her chances of making it through this are good. I'm so sorry, and I'm sending many good thoughts your way.
