I'm so glad Dh took the van in to the mechanic today before my trip tomorrow. It turns out it needed new brakes. It needs other things, too, but those can wait until after I get back.
Yay for an 8-hour drive, and possibly through freezing rain! But at least now I get to take the vehicle that has cruise control.
Anyone know what traffic is like in the Chicago outerbelt on Sundays?
R and I went on a little shopping trip and had the best day. I got a bunch of stuff H and I needed and then cute J+J for R including matching Christmas pjs for next year!!!!
My poor A has hit the winter wall. I came home and he was wearing shorts, insisting it was not cold and demanding to go outside. It snowed here today. Poor buddy.
Today was fricking cold! Went to an Easter thing and Madison didn't even get a single egg. I hope the one we signed up for next weekend is better. It has age groups and Madison will still get to go with the zero to two's. It's a good thing because she's a push over and will let people take stuff from her.
I really hope DH doesn't fall asleep putting Madison down tonight. It would be nice to hang out with him

this right here is why I always make sure our hunt has a separate section for 0-5 and school agers. Those big kids can be pushy!

I ran a ten mile race today, and honestly, I killed it. It was a really challenging course, not one single flat grade section. By my watch, I ran it in 83 minutes 41 seconds. It was my very last race here on our post, and I feel very emotional about that.
So now I'm sitting on the couch with a drink while Matt does double bath like a saint. Cheers!
I ate too many pirogies for dinner, but they were so good. We all reak like onions. We are now watching Teen Beach Movie. I'm glad my girls share my love for all things musical.
I'm over today. H rallied for a bit but is back in bed. Owen is in bed too because he's being a little a-hole tonight. I'm currently trying to get Violet to sleep and hoping she'll stay in her crib tonight.

We were at a bday party all day. Lillian got hurt twice, both times absolute screaming/crying. I felt so bad for her its a weird family dynamic there, I usually don't like going to their parties because of it. Then we went for ice cream so that was fun!
Today Abby was playing at a friend's house and when she came home she said they played "boyfriend and girlfriend," at the girl's suggestion. This included kissing each other on the cheek once and on the lips once--although later she said it was more like air kisses.
I have no idea if I should freak out or not, but I did make sure to tell Abby that she's way too young to be doing that and it isn't something to play at.

I'm waiting on DH to get home. He's been gone since early Thursday with the military. One of the vehicles caught fire on the way back and had to be towed. Ay!
I'm having 40 bales of hay delivered tomorrow. H thinks I'm insane, but he has no vision. He told me that he is the manager of the family and I am the dreamer, lol. My mom actually wants 10 of them, but I'm using the rest to do something like this for all my vines (pumpkins, melons, etc.) and some to ring around a garden that I am going to turn into a hugel garden in the fall.

I'm going to aw the heck out of this kid. We had to sing happy birthday four more times after we started eating because he was so excited about his birthday party. I can't believe I'm going to have a 3 year old on Tuesday! :::sniff sniff:::

I'm going out of town for my SIL's baby shower tomorrow. It's a 2.5hour drive and I'm going alone. I'm REALLY looking forward to the day with no kids!!! The boys are staying home with DH. My BIL's family is Italian so there will be all kinds of delicious Italian food. And wine. I cannot wait!! I will have to pump in a bathroom stall but oh well. It'll be worth it.
I want my baby back. I do t know who the heck this one is. Or at least I want to know wtf is wrong. She's still waking up screaming and scratching at her ears/the back of her head. I'm going to be the crazy m that has her kid in the doctors office 3 times in a week. I think this time I'll hold out to see our actual doc and not just an NP.
raynes, I am so, so, sorry you're in this terrible hell, honey. I wish I could come over and help you.
Thanks.
Last night was especially horrible because H couldn't stand without getting dizzy, so I had to handle Owen and Violet. According to my FitBit I didn't sleep at all between 1:30-3:15. Wheeeeeeee.
I'm currently drinking wine and rocking Violet. She's had a dose of Benadryl and Advil. I'm hoping that gets at least an hour in her crib.

What an embarrassing end to my fun night out. Ugh...
On the way back from the event my friend and I went to, we were chatting and having a nice time in her car. We were just a few minutes away from my home when my friend asked if id like to get a drink on the way home. I was feeling slightly off but didn't want to be lame so I said I'd love to. Well I swear it literally took 2 minutes if that and I started feeling super hot, sweaty and nauseous. I put the window down and removed my scarf. I sill felt Ill. Crap. So I unbuttoned my coat and was trying to hard to feel better. I could tell it was getting bad and my friend was a minute from passing my road so I had to ask her to take me home..... Ugh. Then I felt like I was going to throw up so I asked her to pull over.......... And I barfed in the snow on the side of the road near my condo. I know it was the heat that did me in as she was trying to keep her windshield from fogging up. She felt bad and apologized, and I wanted to jump into a hole. This is my newish friend that I met after me moved. So I guess we are, "there". Lol. Ps: the only drink I had was a small glass of prosecco while out.
DH is grilling burgers, I'm enjoying the heck out of a peach Bellini Smirnoff ice, and How Bizarre by OMC just came on the tv music channel. It's all quite summery over here :-)

You are not insane. If you are insane then we can be insane together. I'm ordering a cubic yard of vermiculite online this week. Who mail orders dirt?
Also, have you ever grown butternut squash? Do critters generally leave them alone? We go through a lot during the fall and winter so it makes sense for me to grow some, but I don't have any room inside the fence for it!
