Is it weird to have the time written 11:30-3pm on the invite?
I know that's a longer time (3.5 hours) but I know that a few people can't make it at 11:30 and I don't want them to not bother coming if they cant arrive until closer to 12:30 because they think it'll be over soon. It's just at my house, if that makes a difference.
I don't expect everyone to stay until 3, R&J will most likely be napping by 2:30, I just want to make it more flexible for people since everyone has a 40/60 minute drive to us.
So would you think that is weird or not even think twice about it?
Not weird to me. Lillian got invited to a party that had a time similiar and went when we could, I also told her in the RSVP what time we would be able to make it.
Well, write 11 a.m to 3 p.m. It bugs me to have the pm specified but not am!
I'd add "come and go"
Oh I would! Lol, that bugs me too. I don't know why I didn't put that at the top.
Come and go? Like after I write the time? Underneath it?
That would work!
The "come and go" on invitations might be regional? I'd think it normal to see it written on an invitation...but maybe it's not as common in other areas?

I don't think I've ever seen it on an invite, but I like the idea of it!

In our area they would write open house and maybe 12:30 cake (or presents, games, etc) something like that, so you would know that if you want to be there for that specific event.
