What are you making for dessert? Growing up Easter was not a big deal in our house, just a basket in the morning. ILs are coming and it's bigger to them and I don't know what to make for dessert.
I'm making mini apple pies because its all I know how to make. I know it doesn't really go with the meal, but it was either that or funfetti cupcakes.
My friends family (SUPER religious) make a red velvet lamb cake every Easter. White fluffy icing, chocolate for eyes, then you'd slice into red cake. I guess the lamb is Jesus and eating the cake is showing his sacrifice? I dunno. My family just are Cadbury eggs.

I am making a dirt cake I saw on Pinterest. It has coconut dyed with food coloring for grass and you decorate with peeps and candy eggs. It is ridiculous but really cute. LOL

My mom used to make two round cakes, and use one for the face of a bunny and cut the other in half to make the ears. Then she would ice it and use toasted coconut over the whole thing to make it "furry" lol. Some spare Easter candy for eyes, nose and mouth, and voila!
Something easier might be a white cake trifle with vanilla pudding, mixed berries and whipped cream, so tasty.

My mom still makes this for us every year. My youngest sibling is 30.

Classic! I'm sure she still would, but with grandkids and now great grandkids, the Easter meal itself has gotten to be a big undertaking for her, so she doesn't have time to make bunny cake. We try to help as much as we can and try to make her leave the kitchen, but no dice.
