Absolutely, 100% sure you are fine, but if lotion doesn't help please call your ob. I won't be alarmist, because the person I know who did have a legit issue while pregnant that caused itchies was/is healthy as is her kid, but it required treatment.
I would look into ICP just to be safe. Probably what PP is referring too. eav2c and lauranicole91 from April 2012 are very experienced (unfortunately) but maybe they can help if you're worried!

I was very itchy early in each of my pregnancies...but I take so much Diclectin that it seems to help with that if nothing else.
I would agree with others that your skin and hormones have been through so much by this point. Obviously keep an eye on it, but definitely see if something topical helps. I figure a lotion or body butter wouldn't help if you were in liver failure, right?

Bile salts can build up in the blood stream, most commonly during the end of pregnancy. Causing extremely itchy skin. There is a script for it that really helps. It's a farely rare. They have to run some blood work to confirm. I only know about this, because I get every pregnancy. Sucks
I got an itchy rash during my first pregnancy. It sucked. I'll third the sarna lotion. My doc recommended it and it did help. Hope you find some relief soon!

Yep, this. I have had it with both of pregnancies. I was considered high risk, monitored every 48 hours, and was not allowed to go past 37 weeks.
I too would call first thing tomorrow. Bile acid tests can take quite awhile to get back. Sometimes a week or more depending on your location. How far along are you OP?
ditto the previous posters about ICP. I had it, and it was awful. The palms of your hands would itch, particularly at night, to the point where you want to rip off your skin. If its on the palms of your hands and soles of your feet, definitely call your OB tomorrow about getting some bloodwork done.
I was super itchy (feet & hands) at 37 weeks with my DS and my liver panel was out of control so I went in for fetal monitoring. 24hrs later I had my baby. Call your doctor.

Your doctor should do a test for Bile Acids in yur blood as well as other liver tests. You wil likely get started on ursodeoxycholic acid if they think it is Intrahepatic Cholestasis of Pregnancy
