I'm trying to decide whether to head to the ER with Mila. She sounds all of a sudden croupy. And she can't stop coughing. Called nurse line and waiting for a call back.

Try taking her outside in the cold. It's counterintuitive but recommended for croup attacks. Watch her chest for retractions. Sorry she's sick. H gets croup often and it can be scary.

Eek DH's cousin is in labor attempting a vbac. I posted, without really thinking of the audience "push it real good...oh baby baby". Then I remembered it's FB, not the board and people may not get it. Lol
Dahli in your opinion could we wait til morning? Do you give advil? Zarbees cold and cough?
Yes, both of those. Chest rub if you have it and the humidifier. Steaming up the bathroom can help too. If she can't stop coughing I'd be getting more concerned. One of us usually sleeps in H's room when she has it because she's woken up in a panic when it was hard to breath. I hate that sound so much.
She's calm now. She's in her room laying upright on Scott. Probably asleep or falling asleep. I'm still waiting on the call back.
You personally would give both medicines and put her back to bed? She did ask to go back to sleep and our pedi does have sunday hours.
Yes, we give both medicines at the same time. We don't use night time zarbees though, just the regular kind. Coughs are weird. There are times I thought H had an annoying cough and needed breathing treatments and times I thought she has bronchitis and she was fine

oh no! Poor girl. B's done that before when he's had a cough and/or a lot of postnatal drip, doesn't always mean a stomach bug. I hope she settles, so you can all get some sleep. ((Hugs))
Was it after a coughing fit? Right after you gave it? Rhys puked up his medicine last week when he was sick right after I gave it, I think he swallowed it weird or something.

I'm so sorry K!
It was like 20 min after I gave it. She was happy and talking about her birthday presents and wanting to visit the zoo. She said nothing hurt. So I think it's just from phlegm and meds combo.
we are on 2nd wakeup, he's a little gassy because he chugged and ate too fast (he does this sometimes). Then spit up all over me. I need to change and DH is holding him for a bit.
I can't sleep. The boys both have pink eye and I have the worst sore throat I've had in years. I'm afraid it's strep. I am so congested that my right ear is completely clogged.
Anyways, Colin woke up at about 230. I'm not sure there is any hope of him going down soon. I'm in a hyped up mood because I found out some interesting and potentially good news around midnight and I think Colin is feeding off of my energy/hopefulness.
Colin has had croup three times. It is really scary. As long as she seems to be breathing okay I wouldn't rush her to the ER but def get in the AM. I hope she feels better asap!
We are on wake up 3. He took an hour to fall asleep from the last one and Lil just woke up too. She's asking to go downstairs and watch a show/ get up for the day. I hope DH can get her back to sleep, I feel so bad for him! He stayed up with Luke too so he just fell asleep 30 min ago. Sleep babies sleep!
Na do you think he's teething already or it's developmental? I hope you get to sleep more or at least nap! Lil went back to sleep so my H is good (he went in there) now fingers crossed for Luke and me.

I think maybe both? He is four months on the 4th and his gums look all white on the left and he is gnawing on anything he can. He is also clamping and pulling when he nurses and I know there is plenty of milk. Ugh. He's doing that wild arm flapping when he nurses I remember that with A, I wonder how long it lasts. He's blowing raspberries at me lol, clueless baby.

Ugh does sound like both. The 4 month wakeful is not cool neither is the clamping down. I'm already scared of that wakeful period, Lil was never the same after. I think that's when I changed nursing positions with Lil, I sat her up a little more. I don't think the teething lasts too long? A few weeks? I also would stand/sway while nursing her to distract her.

Oooh I'll try the swaying! I am so tired I think I don't even think of creative things anymore. I am nauseous. Just want to crawl in bed and sleep for three days straight.
