Kate's birthday party was yesterday. She had so much fun, and loved celebrating, but I'm super happy it's over. Coming home from vacation, going right back to work, and then having her party was pretty tiring.
Heres a a picture of her cake...it turned out great!
We put an offer on a house yesterday, and the builder accepted. It's the model home for the neighborhood, so it's never been lived in, and has a lot of upgrades. We got it for an amazing price! BUT, it's contingent on selling our house, so I'm hoping once we put it on the market, it goes quickly.
And the house...it still needs landscape and a patio in the back. I wasn't a huge fan of the color(s) of the outside of the house (too neutral), but it's grown on me. I think with some nice landscaping, it will add some "flare" to the front!
I've taken so many trips like this, and it came up so suddenly, I feel like I'm being very casual about it and I'm so afraid I'm going to forget something.
Going to an egg hunt today sponsored by local egg farmers on the local university's indoor practice fields. Hoping it's fun! If anyone local wants details, I'll PM you.

I missed why and where your are going this time. Job opportunity?

Job interview in Illinois--so it's an 8-hour drive. It cropped up suddenly last week.
pinkpeony6210 that's some huge news to slip into a randoms thread! Congratulations - house looks beautiful! Do your civic duty and provide us with floor plan porn that we can ogle!
Today is H's birthday party and I feel like I have been busting my hump to get it all ready. I made him a Buzz Lightyear cake by looking at a picture of Buzz and trying to recreate it with frosting. It took all my energy yesterday (and didn't turn out that great anyway) and then I was up until about 11:30 finishing up the rest of the decorations (this is very late for me). I'm exhausted and ran out patience for H yesterday. Today he was mad at me for not reading him a book and told me he didn't like any of his decorations that I have been painstakingly working on. I know he's only three but I feel like he's being very ungrateful and rude. I wish I had my weekend back.
Wow congrats pinkpeony6210! You've had a busy few weeks!
I don't know what to do about C's cluster feeding. She nurses at night on and off for a few hours. The last 3 nights she has had epic spit ups during her cluster feeding. She's clearly eating too much and taking in too much air. But I don't know what to do about it. Nursing is the only thing that soothes her but I can't stand thrthe spit up grossness.

I'm not a gardener, but even I can see how much fun you could have adding color with flowers. Good luck on selling your house!

We had the best time with jamaicam last night. We had dinner and drinks and then listened to a guy sing Bob Marley songs and watched people dance (who maybe didn't have the best moves but were having a blast!). We did manage to take the required photo even though our husbands made fun of us! I may get to see her again today!

H is singing for Palm Sunday but D and I committed to a play date weeks ago. I'm relieved that I don't need to wrangle D through a church service because she went to bed late and woke up early but I don't like being split up on the weekend.

DH's cousin had her baby early this morning. It looks like she had a successful vbac. People on FB have no shame...asking about the status of her cervix and her mom posting the info and then people posting " Well??". This is only appropriate here, lol.
I was up for hours motn last night and have to work and then go to my Bradley class. I worked all day yesterday and didn't see may for 16 hours so I miss her! But tomorrow is spring break for me and Ian so I won't have my tuesday/Thursday class and he will be home with us all week!
pinkpeony6210 congratulations on the house it's beautiful! There are some by us that look like that and DH and I always drive by them because we love them. What's the inside like?
imimahoney does she take a paci? Luke doesn't really like his paci and he only likes to nurse, so he gets too full as well. Lily loved her paci the moment we gave it to her so it's different for me. If my DH stands and sways and shushes him he likes that. This stage is tough.
We are just hanging out at home. Lil already painted, we had a tea party and now she's doing playdoh. DH is finishing our taxes. I'm holding a sleeping baby. It's a pretty good morning. I just wish it was warmer out so we could go for a walk. I also wish we could go somewhere, like out to lunch or even just target. Being cooped up in here is making me so antsy! Before the baby we went so many places, this is like starting all over.

she'll take one if she is really tired but not one if she is awake or hungry. I think we'll have to try Dh holding her with one tonight. I can't another nasty evening.

That's what we have to do, DH can get him to take it if he's really tired. Is she fussy at night? I'm still being paranoid about Luke and my H keeps telling me that everything is normal, like all babies are fussy sometimes and it doesn't mean anything. He's been spitting up more too.
I'm hoping that I'm more chill this time ttc. I still haven't peed on anything, which is impressive for me. I did stop at the dollar tree and grabbed some tests though

She isn't fussy really, just loves to cluster feed. If she didn't nurse she'd probably be very unhappy but when she nurses she's fine.
Ahhh! A girl I went through college with, who I used to consider fairly smart, just posted a picture of her 3 yr old in a booster. This makes me ragey. She turned him FF at 6mo because he is a "big boy" and they were going to the beach/wanted him to watch the tv. His birthday was in December. He should still be harnessed. She does not take kindly to helpful information. I tried before. Ugh
