A big part of me cringes at the idea of a company owned by Jessica Alba - I'm not sure why, other than I get the impression she isn't very smart and I generally don't trust celebrity products.
I heard the company recently hit a billion dollars in worth which has made me wonder what the products are actually like.
Anyone use this stuff? What's your Honest opinion (womb womp)?
I don't like how she treated honest toddler (tried to stop the blog due to the name) but I've actually heard good things about the diapers. I've never used her stuff personally.
I tried their shampoo and the smell made me want to vomit. I am interested in their diapers though. They look cute
What truly bothers me about the Honest Company goes back to the drama with Honest Toddler. I don't remember the specifics but basically the Honest Company was bullying Honest Toddler to change her name even though she had been using the name "honest" long before the company. She took it to social media and I think the company got slammed, as they should have been. I don't know what the final outcome was but I really thought it was shitty of the honest company and since then I refuse to give them my business.
The only thing I've really ever heard is that their diapers look cute. I saw some shampoo at Costco a while back, but it was so expensive. For that price it better keep my kid clean for days.
dojo the boys have super sensitive skin. They would get angry red skin with pampers or huggies. They never have with honest diapers.
They have leaked poop out of the leg holes but they have done that with ever brand I have tried. Their legs are just too skinny for the leg holes, I think.

I love their bug spray, sunscreen, shampoo and conditioner, multi purpose cleaner, and fruit and veggie wash.
I've been using them for a while and have found their customer service to be fantastic. I did try a sample of their diapers and other than being cute, I wasn't super impressed with them.
I have the shampoo/body wash and I hate it. It feels watered down and I really don't like the scent either. I'll never buy it again.
I agree! It's so watery and I hate the smell, it's like really bad fake orange. I heard the subscription is really hard to cancel. Some of my fiends love the diapers

As far as the subscription canceling, I haven't done it yet but I really don't need stuff every 6 or 8 weeks but it's very easy to go out and bump the order back 8 weeks or whatever.

I was signed up for the subscription in such a misleading way, I had no idea it was happening, and then it was nearly impossible to cancel. Never again!!
I love the diapers and wipes. And the pull ups. B got some really bad irritation from other brand pull ups. I don't particularly like any of the bath and body products.
I had the same experience as Trudy. I purchased the trial sizes and they signed me up for a subscription. They started sending full size products just days after the trial sizes arrived. It was very misleading and a HUGE ordeal to cancel and get my money back. Fuck Honest Company. They are assholes.
I liked the diapers. I bought them off a Zulily deal prior to the whole Honest Toddler debacle. They were cute and worked well with DD's sensitive skin (we only used Pampers or 7th Gen otherwise) but not worth the hassle of a subscription service. Plus, we mostly cloth diapered so those were cuter anyways.
I didn't intend to buy anything from them after the Honest Toddler incident anyways but DH came home with some of the shampoo/body wash. I don't hate it but for the price, I'd rather go with Burt's Bees or something else. We'll use up what we have and then switch back to something else.
