Is it a long weekend or your spring break? Any travel planned?
Mr. P has a 3 day weekend and we can't seem to pull together a plan since we are fine with anything. We've discussed a trip to the coast to enjoy a not sickeningly hot beach weekend. We discussed meeting up with family for brunch or a picnic, so I have reached out to see if anyone else wants to drive or meet somewhere in between cities. Waiting to hear...
H is buying a new grill as we speak. I've discussed this before in a "what does your H buy too much of thread" before. LOL
So I am assuming we'll have some people over for dinner sometime next weekend.
It's not a long weekend or anything in particular for us, though. We've both been working a lot lately, so we try to plan the weekends to be lazy and laid back.

What grill is he getting? I was monitoring the grill post since we need a new one too. Ours is from Lowe's and we've had it like 7 or 8 years. It is beyond time to retire it.
I sing in like 43447 church services. We don't have any plans as a family. Msniq is noon practicing/atheist, and babyniq is probably a little too young to get the idea of an Easter Egg hunt. Mom might want to do something but I have no idea what and she is just chronically under the weather so we're not counting on anything anyway.
DH's birthday is on Easter, and his brother's is the day before, so we're going out to my IL's for Easter lunch (or lunner, probably, since they seem to think 2pm is a great time to eat...unless you have a 2 year old who naps then...grrrr) and birthday celebrations. They also typically have an Easter egg hunt for all the grandkids.
We'll do something to celebrate DH's birthday with just the 3 of us, probably on Saturday, but not sure what yet.

tcu2003 I don't understand early meals either, my in-laws do thanksgiving "dinner" at 1:30 and then turkey sandwiches or grilled cheese in the evening for "supper"..feels like such a sad ending to the day.. plus their way, no one lingers at the table. I always feel rushed.
When Istarted hosting, my husband tried to tell me we had to dothat too...I;m cooking/cleaning..my schedule!
we eat around 5 and I have heavy apps going all day so people don't starve or feel obligated to eat too much
We made brunch reservations. At a brazilian steak house, which is kind of weird, because I do not eat steak, but it looks pretty good and they definitely have enough other things I'll eat. My in-laws are going to be visiting over Patriot's Day weekend, as usual, and my parents will be visiting in May.
We started going to a church about 4-5 months ago. They had the easter egg hunt today and it was so cute because for the really little kids they just put a bunch of eggs on the grass and let them pick them up. The older kids got to hunt for eggs in the cemetery.
Some friends have invited us over for non-Easter dinner on Saturday, but those are our only plans so far aside from the usual egg hunt/basket madness on Sunday morning. The boys and I have Friday-Sunday off, and H has Saturday-Monday off, so we might also do a house project that I start and he finishes. The backyard needs a lot of work, so we should probably work on that.

Na Br.asa? We haven't been there in aaaaages but it is quite good. If you like pork, their pork with Parmesan is excellent.
I've threatened to cook a turkey. (I like turkey... and _really_ like having the turkey carcass for some yummy stock after...)
But, I have yet to buy a turkey, and then it would need days to thaw out, so this probably isn't happening.
DH will likely have a 3 or 4 day weekend. I won't. The house still needs a lot of unpacking work - we've mostly got the upstairs done, but the basement has barely been touched. And my parents have decided to come for a visit in about 4 weeks, so I suspect we'll be unpacking more stuff next weekend. Eventually, we'll finish unpacking. Maybe. Hopefully... This would go a whole lot faster if we didn't both work.

Yes! We looked at a few traditional fancy brunch places - the type that are in 18th century buildings with old school menus featuring things like prime rib and shrimp cocktail. But they were all similar, and some were pretty pricey ($40/person). Although it's about half and hour away, this place looks like something different and really good, and it's less than $30/person. And the bar/restaurant next door is also really good!
We are hosting family at our house (with some of them staying at our house for the weekend). Friday is one family member's birthday - so the usual cake & ice cream & decorations with a casual dinner. Sunday - Easter dinner will be ham. No long weekend for me, but it will be for those traveling to our house. Yes, I will be the cook.

We have nothing planned.
Mil will probably have dinner.
Holidays are so depressing for us now--now that FIL is gone, mil throws all of her effort and energy into making it magical for the grandkids (yes, even Easter). As the only childless members of the family, we are usually an afterthought/only invited to dinner (as opposed to the Easter egg hunt/brunch for the kids)
No long weekend for us. We're going to a low country boil festival though. I'm really excited about that.
My family totally does the dinner at 1:00. It's a running joke that if there is something going on with our family, it starts at 1. I feel like it makes for a longer and more pleasant visit, not rushed.
No real plans. We plan to decorate eggs and exchange Easter baskets (Easter candy is the best!) and I want to try making hot cross buns again since BF had those on Easter growing up. But we'll likely spend the day at home doing the same stuff we always do on Sundays other than that.
A girlfriend suggested brunch, and I could MAYBE be convinced, but I don't really want to spend $25pp when we'd be just as happy at home, so we will likely not do that.
On Friday night, we are going to Benihana with my family for my niece's 10th birthday <)
No plans for the rest of the weekend because I don't celebrate Easter. My husband may go out to his parents' for Easter, but apparently he hasn't talked to them about it yet.
So for me, mostly just a heavenly three days off.
ETA: oh wait, I have a playdate with two friends and their babies on Saturday. Hopefully the weather will behave and we can go to Central Park!

I hosted for DH's family for this first time this past Thanksgiving and did the same thing - none of this weird eating time thing, especially if I'm cooking and cleaning.

We are hosting 4 family members Thursday-Sunday. Going to the horse races on Friday, church maybe Saturday night, the Easter bunny is coming in Sunday, Easter dinner will be ham and lamb, lots of drinking, shuffle board, and CAH.
No plans other than E's welcome spring basket since we don't celebrate Easter.
When DH and I were dating MIL would go all out for BIL and his kids and step kids, but I guess now that they're older she doesn't do anything anymore and I guess E doesn't count? Last year she came over on E's first easter and didn't bring her anything. DH was pissed and disappointed that his mother is such a selfish bitch.

I have Sunday off from work. Probably going to see my aunt and uncle and that's about it. Monday the 6th is the 2 year anniversary of my moms death. So making it thru the rest of tax season without major breakdown seems to be my mission. Inlaws invited us over as well but considering how busy I've been at work and my shortened fuse due to everything I think we are turning that down or at least I am. It would just be MIL, FIL, and SIL and us so I think I'm using the tax season card. DH's grandparents are still down south or Id probably make more of an effort since they've been gone all winter as usual.
