Labial vericose vein? So I've been having a lot of lower pelvic pressure extending to my upper thighs especially when standing. I am almost 36 weeks. This morning DH and I had sex and afterwards I felt so much swelling and pressure I could barely walk, ( lol and no we weren't doing anything crazy.) all day the swelling and pressure have felt so intense . I just went and looked at it with a mirror and I'm pretty positve I have a Labial varicose vein, it's pretty gross looking and so swollen! Any one have this? I assume it's only going to get worse the next few weeks. Did it go away after deliverary? When did the pressure subside? Thanks
Yes I have it. I have since first tri and it's far worse now than before. It's pure agony. Here's hoping yours don't get as painful as mine. I'm 31 weeks now and my doc said this would go away after birth.
Saw this in the latest a posts thread. Not a mom but my BFF had one- she called it her purple taco - poor thing! It went away after delivery and didn't come back with her second.

I am curious....I can relate to the pressure, it's embarrassing at dork or at a restaurant, you just can't move right as soon as you stand. Also, my one thigh is constantly numb. Sadly I can't see anything down there even with a mirror. Should I mention to doctor...are you?

Thanks for the replies, ugh I'm sorry sequins that's sucks you've had it so long. Yeah I'm mentioning it to my dr. In fact on what I've read you should, esp where it is can cause concern during delivery for excess bleeding. Actually I go on we'd and it's my 36 week apt. I'm pretty sure they're doing the strep b test and I don't know how they wouldn't notice anyways.
Glad to hear it goes away with delivery thank god!
