After my 20 week ultrasound I found out I have placenta previa. Chances of a vag birth are next to zero. I have had such an easy pregnancy so this has thrown me for a complete loop. I know it can be managed but I fought HARD to avoid a c-section with DS and have no real interest in hemorages, having to be "kept pregnant" with intervention until 36 weeks, being on pelvic rest or anything else that comes with it.
She is going to do another internal at my next appointment to see if my placenta has moved any but she thinks since it was low (not PP low) at 18 weeks (went in for bright red spotting), and at 20 it was less than two cm I don't have much of a shot. It got worse instead of better.
I had it with my last pregnancy. It sucks because you can't real feel the baby but my c section was unplanned and didnt have anything to do with placenta previa. I'm sorry you're gett that news.
I had this. It never moved from diagnosis at 17ish weeks. On the positive side, as. It got closer to ds' due date, I had 1-2 ultrasounds a week so I got to see him frequently.
Keep in mind though that 95% of all cpp cases move. If yours isn't complete then that number is higher. Don't give up hope for a natural birth just yet. If it's still there at 36 weeks then reevaluate.
