I read recently that they have also put a lot of money into preserving LRH's words in a bunker that's built to withstand a nuclear war. I hope that something happens soon that breaks the "church" wide open.

Crazy! I had a friend who got sucked into Scientology, dropped out of college and basically dropped off the face of the earth to everyone who knew her (went into one of the Orgs they discuss). I was already aware of a lot of what they talked about, and none of it surprised me that much, except maybe insane threats, blackmail and violence that seems to have been going on for decades.

I hope this documentary blows it open. The tom cruise and Nicole Kidman stuff was crazy.

I agree that no much of it was a big surprise to anyone who has kept up with the major articles that have come over over the past few years. I remember reading the Vanity Fair article when TomKat broke up, and the New Yorker article when Haggis left.

What I do hope is that people watch this and somehow it gets the IRS motivated to revoke their church status. The movie seemed to imply that defectors are unable to bring suits (for abuse? etc) against the church due to their protected status?

Or Tom Cruise/Jon Travolta need to leave.

I actually felt sorry for John Travolta. He seems trapped. I don't get that same feeling about Tom Cruise, though.

He seemed more like a a brainwashed puppet to me. He's of a simple and has been totally and completely shielded and manipulated. 

Im curious about the lesser known celebrities who are members...Beck, etc
