Morgan is not happy. I hope his presence will ground Rick and reverse the "turning into Shane" crap.
I was so happy Glenn didn't kill Nicholas. In the moment I wanted him to, but he made the right choice.
Rick had to kill Pete. He broke into their house, took the sword and would have killed Rick. Poor Reg. He wouls not have stopped until one of them were dead. Doctor and all I'll take Rick in the ZA over Pete.
Did I hear right, in the spin off preview it started with the flu vax? NO! All we need is to give Megan Heimer and her like more reason not to vax.
I'm happy no one in the group died tonight. Between Beth, Tyrese and Noah, there have been way too many stupid deaths recently. The show has relied upon killing off a character way too often for a season ender. I feel like this finale can propel the story forward. So while maybe it seemed like nothing happened, if the group had ended up on the run again - or the town overrun by walkers - that would have been a lot less interesting. We've seen that too many times.
Although perhaps I wouldn't have minded if Sasha had taken out Gabriel. Still better for her character - and Glenn's as well - to not have killed another human being.
Happy to have Morgan finally meet up with the group and it will be interesting to hear how he turned things around. I can't quite explain why I like the Morgan character so much. Maybe because he was there at the beginning, we know his backstory and how he lost his family - we've seen his struggles and feel an emotional attachment because of it.
It was nice to see Morgan finally. I liked parts of the episode. Hated parts of it, too.
The end result for me is that theres not enough for me to be interested or anticipating next season. I just don't care enough about any of these people or the story to put up with the stuff I don't like. The good doesn't overcome the bad.
The only thing I'm mildly interested in is Morgan and Rick's interactions but I imagine that will be marginalized because we have - oh joy - another big bad coming so anything contentious will probably be pushed aside to fight that off. I still love Daryl and really like Aaron but I don't know if continued scouting is really that interesting to me or how long it will last.
aaron dropped his bag and it had pics in it of them
Thanks--that makes sense. I saw them with the pictures that I knew Aaron carried of Alexandria, but I couldn't see specifically what they were.
And by the way--do we think the Wolves just go around murdering people for the hell of it and that's their whole thing?
My guess is they are probably going to try and parallel some Native American history but will do it in a lazy way full of plot holes. Basically the only explanation we will get is whatever that guy said to Morgan at the campfire and maybe them claiming they are paralleling a specific tribal history on The Talking Dead.
Then they will wonder why they don't ever get nominated for an Emmy, missing the obvious answer, which is that the show is a bunch of lazy writing and plot holes.
For comics people, the Wolves = the Scavengers. I feel like this is going to be a Terminus - like situation where they wrap the plot line up in 1 or 2 episodes. But I could be wrong. I just don't think they're big enough to really threaten Alexandria.

Can I just say, it was a kick in the gut when they showed the guy in the red parka as a zombie at the end. The guy survived on his own all this time only to be taken out by two psychos.
Friggen Daryl is losing his touch and got all civilized. The first thing I said was THE TRUCK HAVE ZOMBIES IN THEM. This is a TRAP. I"m soooo surprised that Daryl hadn't even attempted to see that. It actually pissed me off.
My hubs was like, you think you can take Glen out with a bullet, dude you're stupid. LOL
I'll say it again, I can't not stand Sasha, and I would have been hella happy if one of the zombies wasn't really dead in that pit and bit her.

I don't either. I actually thought they would be the Whisperers. But, Wolves not Far blew by me episodes ago.
I was reflecting on eclaires? post about caring about the people. I think this show is like GoT for me...I care about one person (here-Darryl; there-Tyrion) and the rest is just entertaining. It is nowhere near the quality of GoT, but it is entertaining. I will say, though, that 6 months won't feel as long to me as the season was just meh to me this time.1 Finally, I am looking forward to the prequel if for nothing else than to see Kim Dickens and Cliff Curtis (I like them both). I feel Zombie shows, though, will always run this path...there is no hope in them. This is obvious to most, but for me, I always felt like there could be some eventually. But, people, once exposed to such awfulness, are horrible people.
Sasha and Gabriel can both die and I'll be okay with that. I just don't like them. If Sasha wants to go off the rails and lay in a pile of dead walkers, fine. But stop coming back to the safety of the group.
Glen is and has always been the most humanistic of the group and I'm honestly surprised he's lasted as long as he has. It seems like everyone else that cared about people in general has been killed off.

Oh, OH.... It's perfectly fine that Pete beats his wife and kid, as long as the scars and bruises don't show, we'll just look the other way, but the 2nd Deana's hubs is killed all bets are off.
I yelled when Glen got shot and then sorta had no clue how Darryl and dude were going to get out of the car. Morgan saves the day
The exploding zombie head over rick was nasty.
And what did the wolves guy mean wheb he said you wouldn't really be alive? I think they are turning people into zombies on purpose.

I thought that was really poignant about how other dude was like, no, we're going together, we're in this together when Darryl wanted to sacrifice himself. Really showing that not everyone at ASZ only looks out for themselves.
Yeah, how were Daryl's senses not exploding when they were walking around those trucks? The hanging cans banging together didn't give them a clue that something was off?
I love how they were talking about doing a musical and Once More With Feeling on TTD.
Daryl and Aaron not hearing trailers full of walkers pissed me off also. I get they have to move the story along, but c'mon. It would have made more sense to have one of the Wolves there and they let them out.
At first I thought Dianna was telling Rick to kill Pete out of revenge, but I do think it was more controlled than that. She knew it had to be done. She separated them, he stole the katana and came there to kill. There was no other option. Rick just walked in and threw a walker down, she knew he was right, the way they are doing things is going to get them all killed.
Yeah why didn't they hear the zombies rattling around in the trucks? Great point. It's like how they're out in the woods, and all is super duper quiet until the zombie is RIGHT THERE AND LOUD AS FUCK. What, they JUST started making noise; they were silent before they got right behind you?
Oh the scene with Eugene, Abraham, and Rosita? Awesome.
Really I loved this episode. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.
Daryl & Aaron in the car was stressful as fuck. Every time one of them is in a "there's no way he can make it out of this alive" situation, I always think of Glenn tied to that chair with a zombie locked in the room with him. Who would have had time to leave a note in the car though? That was weird, but I'm guessing the trick had been used before and it was the previous victim that left it, as the bad guys were coming in? And, man, when Daryl, Aaron, and Morgan were standing around chit chatting after they got out (right next to a weak chain link fence with a hoard of zombies about to break it down DON'T THEY EVER LEARN???), I kept yelling at them to go talk somewhere else dammit.
I literally threw up hands up in the air and yelled "come on!!!!" When father puss closed theatre to have it bounce open
Hubs thinks he did it on purpose, or is that just stating the obvious?
I was wondering this too. It looked like it was an accident but when Rick walked over he pulled something from the lock preventing it from locking. But, it didn't look like Gabriel put anything in it that I would tell unless he did it on the way out. I still don't understand Gabriel, like at all. He walks out to get eaten, then is his normal chicken-shit self, changes his mind and purposely leaves the gate open, for what? Oh, then Gabriel starts crying on the street. Maybe my 3 kids killed more of my brain cells than I thought but what the fuck is his ploy? I am lost.

I think the piece that Rick pulled out was flesh from one of the zombie, It must have grazed the gate coming in.
Gabriel was projecting his guilt over his killing of his flock onto Rick and the rest of them. They came in and took him out of his stupor and he's angry he wasn't allowed to stew in his own guilt. I think he left the gate open, or didn't care that it didn't close, in the hopes AZ would attract the zombies and that way he could prove that Rick and the rest really are crazy and evil, even if it's only to justification to himself.
I really did like this episode. I think they wrapped up the storylines nicely and did a great job with the symbolism of Gabriel claiming the group were basically animals. The scene with Eugene and Abraham was beautiful. I am glad Rosita dropped the pig-tails and hat; she is a really pretty actress.
I also liked that there was no huge over-the-top death within the group or any major cliffhanger. I am excited to see where the storyline goes to need season.
And, lastly, the one think which drives me fucking crazy is Ricky and the group always saying how much danger they are in and they don't know what they are doing, but, I mean it is almost 2 years from the ZA, like? They have survived this long with the walls they have so I find that point weird and overly used.
Oh, and one last question. Aaron talked about a group that had to vacate Alexandria. I think he said " Dennison (maybe), who he recruited and was very smart but had to drive out 50 miles and let them out. Is the assumption that the Wolves were the vanquished group?
